Am i supposed to fast for my 3rd trimester screening?

I'm so confused, on the paper I got from the doctor it says to fast, but it doesn't say for how long.. I googled it, and half say to fast for 8 hrs while the other half says it doesn't matter at all.. I'm getting my test done tomorrow and I don't want to have to if it's not necessary..

My nurse said not to eat beforehand. I took that as I shouldn't eat that morning. After the test my doc told me just no eating 1 hour ahead of test. Every doc is different.

I would avoid eating in the couple hours before drinking your sugar beverage, as that's what I did. Then again, I had an afternoon appointment. Call your doctor if you are unclear on the exact length of time.
