I had this from weeks 6 to about 10, and it was horrible! I feel for you. Its gotten much better, been regular for about 2 weeks now. I'm 11+3. I never did figure out if it was to do with my vitamins but I'm guessing not since I didn't switch and it's gone away but I also wonder if my body needed time to adjust to them. Either way, hope you feel better soon!
Actually, I did try a new prenatal vitamin and my stomach is in so much pain right now. Maybe that's it? I also had a meatball sub (not healthy). Maybe I just can't eat anything with fat in it. My stomach hurt even after eating chicken that had a little fat on it. I just hope everything is okay. I worry so much.
This was me around 5-8 weeks. I think the diarrhea cramps were worse than my morning sickness and I was happy to be constipated. I switched to a gummy prenatal around when it mostly regulated. So, the lack of iron would explain me not being constipated. Not sure what would have stopped the diarrhea. Probably just hormones calming down. I also eat 2-3 prunes most days. Hope you regulate soon!
Yes, I fluctuated for awhile too. I started taking a slow release iron to help as well as a good probiotic which helped a ton. I also started adding ground flaxseed into smoothies and my oatmeal to help regulate. It's made a world of difference.
Yes, this was also me from week 6 to week 9! For constipation nothing beats good old fashioned prune juice! Natural and effective, there is good reason they give it to old people. A glass a day keeps everything moving. If that doesn't work, you can have lactulose (not sure if available in USA) which is recommended by midwives and safe for pregnancy.
