Hi. Crazy week! Too crazy to check in for last week!

For starters: baby has switched formula AGAIN. But we got a reflux prescription & things are better. Don't get me started on how frustrated I am by not being listened to. And this unknowledgeable dr didn't know preemies can't have soy. The "specialist" told the doc...

They wanted me to wake baby every 3 hours to eat to try to get more formula in & raise the weight. Baby wouldn't have it.

kept mouth closed. So I just went to bed. Baby ended up sleeping 8 hours straight. Just that first night. Baby needed it! After fussing through your first couple months I'd be tired too. You can't grow if you don't sleep. It's not all about the food.

I am most thankful for a "new" baby with these meds. So calm and "normal"!

@Baby'smom ... glad to hear things seem to be working out. Sounds like it might be time to investigate a new doctor.

Our week was good. Friday kinda sucked because the lady watching Chloe (we're STILL on the waiting list at the church daycare) had a sick husband and daughter. She texted me while I was getting ready for work. Said she was still willing to watch her, but didn't know if I wanted to expose her. Initially I was gonna take her since my fiance' was leaving for a trip out of state that morning and we had no other backup. But, while I was in the shower, I said "screw that" and decided to stay home. Since I am a teacher and I was forced to use all my sick time during maternity leave, I will be docked $255 from my next check. It's total BS considering how much of my own money and extra time I put into the classroom, but what can you do? My daughter's health is worth more than $255. Christmas will just be a little lighter this year.

Other than that, not much is going on. Just happy to have a short week this week.

As far as being thankful, I am so incredibly thankful for my family, especially our daughter. We never knew how much we really wanted to be parents ... until we actually were parents, lol. I am so incredibly blessed that God knew better than we did.

@jerseygirl227 I'm totally with you on the new dr. I will try but there may be a roadblock which I can't expound upon online. It wasn't a ped "just" a PA.

I feel bad you had to take a day off. But I wouldn't want her sick either. We used s day are briefly with one kid. People still take sick kids in! Ugh.

I agree about your thanks. We had only planned on being temporary parents. We wouldn't change it now.

How's your anxiety?

So, I spent most of the week at a work conference, that was in-state so DH and LO tagged along with me. Was pretty chill as far as work goes and cool being able to go hang out with them at lunch. The only downside was LO, who was just getting back to sleeping longer stretches, didn't adjust very well to being in the hotel, so that set him right back to waking every couple hours and not wanting to sleep in his PnP. Then the day after we got back, we left again for Thanksgiving and messed up his sleep again, poor little guy.

When I think back to the holidays two years ago I'm so thankful. We werr having trouble ttc and the holidays were pretty emotionally draining. I'm so content right now. And feeling so blessed that dh and i both have such amazing families who surround LO with so much love.
