U/s pics in sig! It was so cool! I have questions though, which I didn't ask the u/s tech because she started off the appointment by telling me that a CP is not a "real pregnancy - there wasn't even a baby so it doesn't count." <insert image of CJ stabbing her in the nose with the u/s wand here>
So she said I was measuring 5w6d. My LMP was 11/25 making me 6w3d. I'm confused about this. I got a good + test @ 10dpo (and I probably would have earlier too if I had tested before then I imagine) so I don't think I implanted any later than I estimated. Is it just because they all kinda grow at different rates? I suppose being 4 days behind what I thought is not a big deal, I just wondered why the difference. ??
Re: There's really a baby in there! (just one, rssnlvr)
Congrats!
I'm pretty sure they measure by size of the baby, and its all just a estimate.
OMG, look at your little bean!!!! I'm so jealous of your early appointment!
My only thought on the discrepancy in progress is that going by O day is more accurate than LMP, but if you are taking into account O day by judging + hpt at 10 DPO, I got nothing. I would just say don't worry about what the ho-bag nurse told you and celebrate your adorable little blob!
What an insensitive prick. Ignore her and congrats on your healthy baby!
that was just rude. sometimes those techs can just suck. we had one that when we reminded we were having a surprise she went in to my file to find out. hubby said that she used a pronoun and after the birth he said she used him and he. I ignored her b/c she pissed me off by doing that.
Anyway, just trying to say that some of the tech will suck, but on the flip side, when i was having a little issues with someone not wanting to wake up for his check in another tech would take lots of 3d pics for us to have. she was trying to waste some time to get him to wake up and do the test i'm sure, but that was awesome.
I'm glad you got a healthy little bean in there
It is just an estimate and based on the pricks ability to measure correctly too
What was the HB?
*In the fetal stage, there are slight growth variations but the vast majority of embryos grow on a predictable curve until about 20 weeks even. Where you start on the curve is a matter of measurements, which like I said is skill based and the tech can be off a little sometimes (they shouldn't be because they are trained professionals, but you know what I'm saying).
YAY!!!! Thats awesome.?
I cannot wait for ours... eek 19 more days!
I'm so glad you were able to peek at your little one... but I will admit, I was convinced there'd be 2 as well. Haha.
How did the DH react to the u/s? ?
The O'Baby Blog
Congrats! Yeah, the measurements can be a little off. I wouldn't worry about it. Were you able to see a hb yet?

Aww, what a super cute little Baby Pixie!!!! Congrats!
My 1st u/s (at 8-9wks) measured 4 days behind the LMP estimate age, making my EDD 7/10, instead of 7/6 like I thought. My 2nd u/s (at 12wks) was back to the original estimation, so the dr. went with that, with the EDD being 7/6. She said when there's a discrepancy between u/s and LMP, and between different u/s, she just goes by LMP.
Turns out, he was born on 7/10, so maybe the 1st u/s was right after all!!
When 3 Became 4
Very exciting! ?Other than that biitchface tech, of course.
I know Anderson measured all over the map in the first tri. ?I had an u/s nearly every week and the measurement always varied by a couple of days, so I wouldn't sweat it. ?:)?
