Why am I....

Lets play a little game ...(sorry.to sound like jigsaw from Saw..and sorry again to mention that horror in the MOTN)

Why am i currently awake? LO is sleeping and has been since 1030. DH is sleeping. Hell even my cat is sprawled, passed out cold. And im here..online..

I think its due to fear that once i close my eyes, no matter how long shes been sleeping she wakes up. I swear this girl has her spidey senses on high alert!!

What are you mamas doing that youre starting to question your sanity?

Why am i currently awake? Damn I wish I saw this earlier!!!! I've been up the majority of the night on and off. LO has major gas pains again! Up screaming his head off. I finally put him on his belly to sleep, I know ur not supposed to but he has awesome head control and slept for 4 hours .

I keep checking on him to make sure he moves ... He always is thrashing around in his sleep so I know he is ok. I also have to fight with my dogs for my spot in bed! Ugh

What's that?! Lol I lost that shit a while ago and it still hasn't come back! HahA

  • Why am I waking up in a panic because the baby is crying?
    No, really, why?
He's sound asleep. He's not crying. Yet the moment I doze off, I swear I hear him crying.
    Yep.
    I've lost it.
  • Sleeping and still hearing my baby cry (even tho she's sleeping) .... Yup ... Ditto
Or she's sleeping for those 2 hours that she grants me and I'm still up scared that she's about to wake up again .... When will this end ?!
I hope the end is near ?
  • I have OCD and have been treated for it since I was about 6. It is pretty much under control but stress always brings on some repetitive behaviors. I count her breaths and can't fall asleep until they fall into a patern. Also I can't lay down until I bleach my kitchen.
It seems that by the time I can "safely" lay down that my DD wakes up. It's a struggle all the way around.

That does not sound like fun! On the plus side at least your kitchen is always clean :) I
  • I do not co sleep with my child in bed, but I did have him lie next to me to sooth him while I played on my phone. Since then, I wake up in a panic thinking he's lost amongst the covers and might be suffocating. After I realize I was dreaming I still have to check on him to make sure he's in his bed breathing. I've shoved DH almost out of the bed once in a sleepy panic. He thinks I'm crazy, and I very well may be with this lack of sleep!
  • I am bf/pumping. Last night I woke up an hour and a half early for a feeding and when my husband told me, I filled a bottle with water spilling while I did it, not bothering to clean it up and went back to bed like that was normal. woke up an hour and a half later and DH questioned me on it haha, then I sat down to pump and noticed my pants were getting wet and I realized I only hooked up one bottle to the pump so one boob was just pumping onto my leg....sleep deprived much???
  • Why am I still dealing with demon rash puppps all over my body 6 weeks pp?!!!
  • Having a cup of coffee at 245am? Maybe it's bc ds has decided that as of 1145, he wasn't going to sleep period and def not lay down in his cosleeper, crib in his room or pack and play in our room.

I can see why being kept awake is used as a torture strategy because I am feeling pretty tortured right now. I could lay down and feed him but I've fallen asleep a couple of times only to awaken in a panic that I slept in a bed with a 4 week old with pillows/comforter making me a negligent parent :/

Enter coffee. Guess no sleep for me tonight.

Praying for sleep but knowing tomorrow whne LO actually sleeps ill be wide awake and not napping! Why is it so hard to justify sleepong all day even though youve been up al night?

ETA:fixing my horrendous middle of the night one eye open typos
  • Haha I seriously read thid as "belch" in my kitchen!

I totally didn't hook any bottles to my pump last night and had a lovely mess to clean up (this morning because I just walked away from it and cried).

This is me almost every night! I always wake up thinking my baby is being smothered in my bed somewhere and it takes me a few seconds to realize she's safely in her crib. I've even woken up my husband thinking he's sleeping with her! My husband said he had the same anxiety at first but now that we're going on 7 weeks he just thinks I'm crazy!
