2 month shots

First - I don't want to hear any vaccinate/don't vaccinate advice! I respect everyone's decision though! My little guy got his two month shots this morning. Just wondering what others LOs reacted. Is he going to sleep well tonight? Or will it be hell? Lol that's my main concern I guess. I have to be up early for meetings tomorrow. I wish I could stay home and cuddle him because I know that's what he will want/need!! He was running a fever so I gave him Tylenol. He was also awake for quite a bit this evening without fussing which I thought was great. Although he didn't kick near as much as he usually does!! Poor little legs.

Re: 2 month shots

  • Our baby had his last week and he just slept a little more than usual the next day (no fever). He wasn't fussy or anything, and ate as much as usual :) The worst part was taking the band aids off, lol! I did it in the tub so the water made it easier, but he did shed a tear when the last one came off because it was stuck on there pretty good!

  • Mine went to sleep as soon as we left the doctors. Later on in the evening she fussed like something terrible. It made me cry because she wouldn't calm down. We canceled our Halloween plans because it was that bad. She didn't have a fever though.
  • My little guy had a tiny fever, diarrhea, and was fussy the next two days
  • Baby girl only fussed that night at bath time. Other than that she was completely normal.
  • My baby boy got his yesterday. He slept a while when we got home. But then also started to get a slight increase in temperature and started to get fussy so I called the doc and they recommended some infant Tylenol and his belly was making all crazy noises. After Tylenol and some long naps on mommy (bc I didn't wanna let him go -shots harder on me probably ha) he was much better. Today he is back to 100%
  • My little man got his this morning as well. He cried a little bit during the shots then napped and ate and napped again. When he woke up from his second nap, about 5 hours later, he had really sore legs that made him cry pretty badly when he would move them. I gave him some tylenol and he's napping again.
  • Mine got his yesterday. Was fine until 4 or so hours later when he was super fussy and was running a little warm. Rough couple hours before he fell asleep but gave him some infant Tylenol this morning and has been pretty normal since.
  • I hope he had a good night. My little one got her shots yesterday too. She just wanted to eat an sleep. She ran a fever as well.
  • Neither of my boys had any issues. No increased fussiness at all, maybe a little more napping during the day but that's it.
  • We had ours yesterday. Like other mamas, it was harder on me than him. He was more clingy than usual but that's about it. He's back to normal today :)
  • My LO is 9 weeks and had her shots last week. Other than being a little sleepy she didn't have any side effects. Starting yesterday afternoon, her wake time has decreased and she wasn't eating as much (EBF) and it is continuing this morning. Could this be a side effect from the shots last Wednesday?
  • Sigh, I am wondering about this, too.

He's due to get them on Friday, and two days after that is his baptism, with family in town from out of state for that, etc.  I'm dreading him not feeling well/being fussy for a big weekend. We scheduled the baptism long before the appointment was set, sigh, and I can't really move it.
  • I like Motrin over Tylenol. My son had a slight fever and slept a ton. Other than that he did great.
