First time mom, reassurance! BPA

Today I found out that plastic can be dangerous when pregnant. Lately I have been on the go and been eating all types of food from plastic (even heating in microwave!) Also, the plastic ware has not been BPA free (marked 3).

Everytime I turn around there is something new not to do and I am becoming so anxious!

Are there any non new first time moms that did this and had healthy pregnancies? This new time mama needs some reassurance!

  • I've had a healthy pregnancy and birth with my first and I was not careful with BPA free containers. My 2 year old is perfectly healthy. Your doctor can ease your mind if your really concerned. Maybe try switching over to glass will make you feel better. I wouldn't stress it.

  • Yup, happy healthy 17 month old.
  • Thanks! I am trying not to stress but there seem to be so many "no nos" that it can be overwhelming!
  • 4 healthy babies and I used plastic containers as needed.
Married my best friend on 5/14/05

One Favorite son: Suishy Smalls 6/14
    And another Princess coming 7/16
  • You're going to be fine! Do you know how many women ate and drank out of plastic containers prior to learning that BPA was potentially harmful? Don't mean to trivialize your concerns, but there are bigger fish to fry.
  • Never even thought about plastic being a danger....DD is completely healthy! You're going to be fine! Save the stress for the big things :-) otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy!
