I'm obsessed with that place and the thought of not being able to enjoy it for the next nine months makes me so sad! I read online that under 200 mg of caffeine a day is okay; do any of you other mamas drink Starbucks? If so, what do you normally get?
Yep. Anything you want within the 200mg limit. Just be prepared to get the stink eye from whoever is making your coffee and others in line later on. Also, if you ask for green tea, you're going to get the stink eye but order what you want to.
I'd be careful of size though... I figured a regular size Dunkin would be fine and it's like 350-400 mg of caffeine!!! You can google caffeine counts, not sure it's posted in their websites
Apple cider steamer is amazing and no caffeine! Also steamed eggnog with nutmeg is the perfect holiday drink. Any of their drinks can be made as a "short" which is the size smaller than "tall". A short is 8oz which is the recommended serving size for most drinks- tall is a serving and a half, grande is 2 servings.
I just found this list of herbal teas to avoid during pregnancy while I was desperately trying to convince myself that I can have peppermint tea to ease my nausea...might help!

So is eggnog safe as long as it has been steamed or heated up?
My favorite is the passion iced tea. My last pregnancy the barista making my tea told me how it was bad for the baby and didn't want to give me my drink. Needless to say I left with my drink and talked with my OB about it. Him & the midwives said it was fine in small amounts. I drank that tea almost every other day during pregnancy & everything turned out great. I also had raspberry leaf tea the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.
I go for decaf lattes - especially now that the holidays are here. I just ask that they only put half the amount of syrup that they normally use when ordering a specialty one.
Pull up the Starbucks app and look at the nutritional facts while you're in the drive through line. I haven't had to change my order at all, although I like more of the sugary drinks than straight up coffee.
Re: What can I drink at Starbucks?
LFAF Summer 2016 Awards:
Grande iced coffee (I fill to top of a venti cup with milk for protein &calcium)
Grande lattes or holiday drinks (they have 2 shots of espresso which are 75mg each)
Iced tea
Iced passion tango tea- no caffeine or calories (if unsweetened) and the bitterness seriously helps my MS!
Hot coffee - not exactly sure of caffeine amount
Everything can be found on Starbucks website... I live by it!!
