What To Do With Unused Diapers

As our LO's are getting bigger and outgrowing diaper sizes, it's very common to end up with "leftovers" that you can no longer use. If you can't exchange these for a larger size for whatever reason (uncommon brand, open packages, etc.) then consider donating them to your local battered women's shelter! Many women who have to flee dangerous situations do so with babies in tow, and they could really use the resources. Homeless shelters can use them as well - though it's hard to think of babies becoming homeless, it does happen.

Re: What To Do With Unused Diapers

  • Great suggestion. Thanks!
  • I've been saving all my son's leftover diapers because I don't want to throw them away and I've been meaning to post a question what other moms do with them. I'm so glad I'm able to help other mamas and their little ones! Thank you for the information. Happy Friday and God bless you mamas!

  • I found a place in San Diego that is donating to refugees.
  • @ashleytiff there is also an organization called Carrying the Future that is looking for baby carriers to help refugees as well. They don't take wraps, because they only have a minute or so with each refugee to teach them how to use the carrier, and there is often a language barrier. However, if anyone has an extra carrier that they don't use, this would be a great place to send it!
