  • Excited! My parents are watching DD so I can surprise DH with a date night Saturday! He turns 30 in early December and I'm due 12/2 so I thought a pre-birthday date would be fun. I'm hoping we will see mocking jay, but he may want to see James Bond :-/ Hopefully baby will still be cooking come Saturday. It's been an interesting week!
  • How can you all sit through a 2 hour movie?
  • It's going to be our last date night before she gets here! DH and I will be going to a fancy theatre with recliner seats(that's the only way I'm getting through a two hour movie)!
  • @laura6006 we went to see Spectre 2 weeks ago and somehow I was able to make it through the entire movie without having to go - even drinking a water and a pop. I amazed myself. I did pee 3x before it started though.
  • I told DH a month ago that I will not be going to see a movie any time soon. He said he understood, but was a little disappointed.
  • I got to see an advanced screening of it on Wednesday (one of DH's credit cards has got some amazing perks!) and it is sooo good! I think they did a great job translating the book to film. I was a little skeptical of them breaking the last book into 2 movies, but there was enough action to it that I was pleasantly surprised when it actually took the whole 2 hours without any unnecessary slow-downs. I would definitely see it again! :)

  • I was going to go with some of my girlies, but I decided since they aren't huge fans it'll be more fun to go by myself. But when I told my hubby, he said he would be my movie buddy. Now, this shocked me because he is not a fan of movie theaters especially for big franchise premiers like Hunger Games. I was suspicious and discovered that since I have told him about the few line jumpers December has already had he does not want to be too far away from me, should I spontaneously go into labor. hahaha

  • I really want to go see it. We saw the Martian a few weeks ago and I thought that was my last movie, but I've seen all the other hunger games movies in the theaters.

Also Star Wars. We are trying to figure out how to see it as I will be 40 weeks when it comes out :smirk:
  • I won't risk it with how often I have to pee. Not worth it to me to pay a crap ton of money only to miss bits and pieces to run to the bathroom. Sometimes I can go hours and sometimes it's like every 20 minutes. Knowing my luck I'd be in the lobby more often than in my seat. Though there is an app that you can set up and start at the beginning of a movie that tells you the best times to go use the bathroom (boring parts of the movie, I guess). It just vibrates your phone when you should get up and go. Maybe that would be useful.
  • I haven't watched the first mockingjay yet! So behind. H and I are going to watch The Night Before tonight and I'm stoked. I also downloaded runpee...don't judge. Lol
  • I'm going tomorrow early afternoon before all the crazies come. The fact that Adele's CD AND this came out on the same weekend....it's like an early Christmas present for me.

I went last night and of course, had to pee during it (luckily there's a slow part where Peeta and Gale talk, if you read the book, you know it and what is said, it's the perfect time to go, ladies) and I turn the corner from the theater into the hallway where 4 attendants were standing and watching the movie. It scared the crap out of me, I gasped and one grabbed my arms and frantically said "don't go into labor, honey! Please, don't go into labor!" And then I couldn't stop laughing as I sped waddled to the bathroom.
  • Am I the only one that hasn't gotten into this series? I haven't seen a single movie.

I loved the first two movies but I couldn't get into Mocking Jay Part 1... I thought it was boring *puts on fire proof suit*

MJP1 is a little more boring because they were being up momentum for the final movie. The book is pretty similar as well, more boring for first half.

I do like that you put on your fire proof suit so you don't start, uhhh, catching fire. Get it?

Nov 15 lurker here.  I just got back from going at 38+6.  Had to make one bathroom break (and did it where @suchaglencoco mentioned coincidentally) but that was mostly because I was stupidly sipping DH's giant soda throughout.  I also actually had my first "real" couldn't-focus-on-the-movie-because-of-the-pretty-intense-pain contraction during it, which was interesting since DH and I were talking about how funny it would be for me to go into labor during the movie.  Maybe lot of suspense (the underground tunnel scene anyone?) just causes random contractions though, because nothing has happened since. Oh well.  Good movie though.

Now DH is trying to plan MIL's visit so that we can go see Star Wars in LO's first few weeks... Not sure how I feel about that.  :/

LOL!!! Oh my... Didn't even think about that, but that was a good one!
  • Next weekend my eldest daughter and I are going to watch Mockingjay Pt.1 in the morning next Sunday, then we are going out to lunch and going to see Pt. 2 in the afternoon.

It's her 19th birthday, so I'm pretty excited.

just left the theater.....preggo hormones!!!! if you read the book you know what happens I cried enough reading it for God sakes lol...so proud I didn't need to pee till the end haha I was thinking about my water breaking though haha

Yep we say it tonight and I was a crying mess, damn pregnancy hormones, and without giving spoilers it certainly can trigger momma emotions! I'd read the books but forgot to prepare myself for certain parts. Really good movie overall though, and I only got up 1x to pee, hooray!

  • I read the books and Mockingjay was my least favorite and the movies are definitely going that way as well, but I'm still excited to see it!

  • Also Star Wars. We are trying to figure out how to see it as I will be 40 weeks when it comes out :smirk:

Me too! We got tickets, just in case. I'm due 4 days before, so......baby's first movie? Haha! The wrap carrier thingy is part of my costume.

I can't wait to see Mockingjay 2!! My family saw the premier but I am sleeping by 10:30, usually.... I'm hoping to see if sometime over the Thanksgiving break!
  • Saw it on Friday, one small benefit of being overdue. It was good-devastating and sad, but very good. I read all the books a few years ago, and definitely need to do a re-read after seeing all the movies.

We have tickets for Star Wars opening night, and a babysitter lined up! It'll probably be our first outing away after LO is finally born.
  • I'm finally going to a matinee tomorrow by myself :)
    Going again Friday with friends
