June 2016 Moms

Bumper to Bumper

Feeling really proud and blessed today and wanted to share my changing shape. :) please feel free to share any/all changes that make you happy if you'd like. I'm 6 wks in the top pics and 10 wks in the bottom. I'm normally concave and muscled in the abdomen (thanks infertility for that tiny plus), and was a bit swollen at 6 wks due to IVF but can't believe what a difference I saw this week! So in love!

Love all shapes and sizes and happy to see others who want to share, bumps blumps or whatever your new gorgeous momma-2-B-self is rocking! Hope everyone finds joy in their changes this weekend!

Note: I'm rocking pants as a nod to the purple people eaters, so some of my fabulous new curve is under the line. My flame retardant suit covered my gorgeous bump, so I left it in the closet. ;)

Lovely bump! Don't have any pics yet but we are a very similar size. I haven't taken photos yet as I didn't think there would be any change, how wrong was I! Must correct that. :-)

  • @Atlast111 lol. I felt the same way. I was excited to document, but then lost interest so I have no in between pics, just haven't felt like it at all. DH convinced me to take the week 10 ones and I was really surprised. I can't do it every week though. :) def takes pics when you can. Lots more changes to come!
  • @NicknShan gah! So adorbs! What a perfect little bump. :) do you feel like you have permanent bed head? I take so many naps that I've just completely given up in my hair. &HDBD??
  • Look in good ladies!! Not ready to show my bloat yet! Excited for hdbd, feels like we've waited forever for these bumps to pop!

  • @Sgoldberg247 soon! You'll wake up one morning and bam! I hear you, I get jelly of all the 12 week-ers out there, must be normal. ;)
  • Purple people eaters? Um. Ok.

HDBD = Hump Day Bump Day. A weekly thread for things like this.

  • Thanks! Had no clue what that acronym was!
  • @HBamama2B cute bump!! Can't wait to see mine :) I keep forgetting to take pics. I took one at 6 weeks..

@NicknShan Super cute too! And jealous of your bedhead, looks better than my hair styled haha

  • Cute bumps, I'm jealous!!! I don't have anything yet, not even bloat. At my NT scan, my uterus was still tucked away. I can still fit in my size 2 jeans too (barely) and I even gained 3 pounds over two weeks. I check every morning because I can't wait for a little bump.
  • Second time mom! 11 weeks. Loving this bump! I definitely did not have abs of steel to bust through like @HBMama2B !
  • @WSU2015 Lol, thanks I'd claim them but it's all due to my body's complete inability to produce any functional level of female hormone. ;) So jelly over your 11wk full curve. Beautiful! Are you telling folks or creatively dressing? All you second time mom's really do get the fun early curves!

@CopperLane 12 wks and your uterus is still hiding? Boo! Although maybe you'll rebound really quickly after birth?? Hmmm.... That could actually be worth the delay if it worked that way. Hope you get your much desired bump soon! :)
  • @HBMama2B I told family and friends as soon as I got my BFP. I have no self control! I don't do social media like Facebook or anything like that so announcing to a big social group wasn't a factor. I really am amazed at how round I'm getting so fast but I showed early with my first too.
  • Who needs self control? I don't plan to 'announce' on fb or any social media. And we told our folks and siblings the day the beta HCG came back. DH couldn't even wait two days to tell them in person, he was so excited. How old is your first? Excited to be a big sibling?
  • @HBMama2B We were too excited too keep it a secret too, I don't know how so many people have the patience to hold out for weeks but I am not able to. My son is 4 but he will be 5 by the time this little one arrives. He is very excited, he talks to my belly and asks how big the baby is almost every day. He is dead set on having a brother and the possibility of having a sister doesn't register at all.
  • @WSU2015 Wow your bump came about fast! I hope mine is that round :)

@WSU2015 gah! Adorable overload! That is so sweet! I was that age when my youngest sister was born and I remember her coming home. I was so excited. So glad he's excited. :)
  • Your bump is adorable. But now I have vanilla ice stuck in my head.
  • @HBamama2B my midwife actually told me that baby weight will drop off right away after I have this baby, with her experience with having patients with my body type. She told me this after she felt for my uterus and I was bummed. I have a super long torso as well which I'm sure doesn't help the bump factor. AND the placenta is anterior so I'll feel kicks later than normal. It's a double whammy, but I'm just so excited that we were finally able to get pregnant so I don't mind too much.
