I'm 37 weeks and have no sign at all of colostrum, is anyone else the same? I hope I have something to offer my baby when he's born, what if it doesn't come in?
I have 2 children and am now 36 weeks, I've never had it prior to delivery and it didn't start until after I was released from the hospital. So I would assume everyone is different. But I never attempted to breastfeed either so I have no experience as to whether trying to would have made a difference.
Everyone is different. I've been leaking since 20 weeks, but whethwr you do or don't is no sign of your success with breast feeding. Chances are you can. It takes a lot of hard work sometimes, but really until your placenta delivers your body doesn't have all the triggers to fully begin milk production. Try not to worry about it. It will happen, just hook up with a good LC in hospital and after.
Oh, and babies are much better at getting milk out than hand expressing or pumping ever show, so chance are he's getting what he needs even if you can't effectively pump the milk out.
This will be my third baby and I have never leaked prior to the baby being born. In fact, my milk usually doesn't even come in until I'm home from the hospital which is annoying lol.
@mrsdecember15 yes, the first one didn't show for a while and I didn't think it worked and couldn't figure out how to delete this one, then people replied to both. My bad for being thread-inefficient!

You could always edit the title on one as "repeat post" or something but looks like you're getting great info on both.
