Why all of a sudden is everything an issue with admin? 2 boards that were light hearted and funny were closed for "an unwelcoming tone". Who decides this? Clearly not the users because we were all enjoying ourselves. And yet again a valued member getting banned for no reason. Dear bump admin, lighten up. (Yes I'm aware I will probably be banned for this). Bring back our girls.

It makes it really boring and not want to be a part of this community. I've been able to build much better relationships with ladies off this board bc we can be real and "big girls". Have fun, heated conversations without getting out feelings hurt, bc everyone has opinions. I built some of my closest friendships off my old bmb, and we grew here. But this environment no longer allows much other than cupcakes.

Another one bites the dust. I'm actually getting upset about this. I joined the bump in April so I would have a community that was with me th rough this experience. Everyone's dropping like flies.

Whaaaaaat???!! What did @hplunkett2883 do? This is ridiculous. It makes no sense to me. TB really is getting too delicate for a bunch of ladies who are about to expel a tiny human out of their bodies. Really you'd think we would all be Lots more grown up than this.

She put a very nice post to new comers about what the community is like and apparently it was ""unwelcoming""

@dec15mum I disconnect one day and thishappens. That's ridiculous. There was another post just like it and we all pressed love it and hasn't been stickied. But people can come and call other bullies and their kids future bullies and nazis and they don't get banned? Unfair. I'll probably get banned for not agreeing to the bans. *edited cause iPad sucks

Wait THAT'S what got her banned? I don't understand.. It was a really helpful post. I kind of scanned her last few days of posts because I couldn't imagine anything she might have said that would have had this result. It doesn't make sense.

Do the admins ever participate in answering questions like this? Or the only time they comment is to copy and paste the same few paragraphs when they shut something down?? Because I would really like to hear their participation on why this keeps happening...

After @ChiccoBeanz got banned I asked the admins, via private message, why and how could we get her back. They answered they couldn't give me specifics & there was no way for us (the community) to unban someone.
Maybe if enough ppl complain? Idk. It's disheartening.

Eta: I also said we could use some answers other than the canned responses & that request was ignored.

You actually got an answer from them? I've been waiting since the middle of July for an answer to a message and still haven't gotten a thing. That being said, they're on a power trip and I'm about 95% positive they won't answer this thread except to shut it down. Twatwaffles.

The culture of these boards has completely derailed from its original intent. What I don't understand is: who is being protected by running things this way? Are the complaints of a few seriously outweighing the enjoyment of many?

@bumpadmin I hate to break it to you, but your members are going to keep complaining. I think it might be in your best interest to reacquaint yourself with the TOU and give these intelligent, responsible women an opportunity to learn about pregnancy in a deeper way than those weekly videos about what fruit their baby resembles. Questions, debate, and yes, even disagreements, can teach someone a lot about how to navigate the world as they begin or continue parenthood. I think people have forgotten the most important point here: *nobody can actually hurt you over the internet.* Let everyone be, and you might actually be impressed by what happens when you put down the ban hammer and let adults be adults.

It's pretty self explanatory, drive by posters and new posters and even some long standing members firmly believe this is a support group. If you have a difference of opinion, or just an opinion and you don't wrap it in glitter you are mean. If you are mean your kids are going to be mean. This is the culture being cultivated here, it's the same one society has latched on to out of fear of offending someone. Sarcasm is now considered bullying, being well informed enough to know when someone is citing a facebook article versus a credible source is also mean and nasty. The interesting part is we are all so conditioned to be afraid of breaking the rules, no one noticed that the rules are arbitrarily applied. When. I first used this site after my first loss I was in awe of the strength, snark, intelligence and ferocious support these communities showed each other. Now it's just yahoo questions with random answers and the pure allure of a community of online women is fading into an oblivion because people want their content spoon fed to them, it's the all about me generation.

Sorry I'm too old for that noise.

love this! Sad part is amongst many members even when we haven't agreed ( and come on! Who agrees 100% of the time?) there has still been respect and an agreement to disagree. I feel like it's the same new person with different accounts bating people that has nothing better to do.
