38 weeks vagina burning inside

I tried using the search function and couldn't find anything similar, but I am 38 weeks today and have this burning feeling inside my vagina along with strong sharp pains. I'm certain it's not a UTI as peeing is normal feeling...
Any ideas? My next apt is Tuesday where I may be induced due to my platlet count being incredibly low.

    Sounds like yeast. Try some monistat or call your ob

    Call your OB. If it's a yeast infection it can be passed to baby during birth and manifest as thrush of the mouth. It needs taken care of by a real dr.

    I would call doc. But just wanted to say I've been feeling "warm" I don't even know if that's the way to describe it... It happens when baby is moving a lot w a lot of pressure on my cervix.

    I agree with pp's, it sounds like a yeast infection. I would call your doctor, they can perform a test to see if is or not.

    Update: I was in labor and delivery last night for contractions and I didn't have a UTI or yeast infection...the burning/warm pain was just my cervix progressing. However, my platlet count went up a tad but they found that baby has a cardiac arrhythmia so I have a NST scheduled for Sunday.
