First Appointment with Specialist

Tomorrow morning my DH and I are going to our first official appointment with the Fertility Specialist. We are already 14 months into this infertility journey and have discovered DH has low sperm morphology and I have irregular periods. I have already had an HSG and the results came back good, and DH has seen a urologist and results came back good. Any advice for me for this appointment? Questions to ask? What to be prepared for? I'm really anxious about this and want it to be here already!

    You may want to do a search as this is discussed frequently.  Mine was several hours.  Some doctor will do bloodwork, ultrasounds a pap and they will want a sample from him.  Other docs just use the first appointment to go over history.

    I brought all my lab work and my HSG/MRI results and DH's SA results. We just talked about my journey, goals, and plans to get me pregnant. We also did an ultrasound.

    Thank you @bsckgb7 and @foreverlaur I wish when people make an appointment that they would tell you what to expect. We have already had two SA done and my HSG, so I'm curious what they will do!

    Was your HSG normal? Make sure your RE has the report or bring it with you. Mine also wanted to look at the actual images, not just the read.

    Have you had any basic labwork done, like FSH and AMH? Do you have BBT charts you can bring?

    My HSG did come back Normal and I had the lad results sent over to their office. I haven't had any blood work done yet, which I feel is really weird so I'm going to talk to them about that. My hubby and I decided not to do BBT charts, so no we don't have that. We are on our way right now! Wish me luck! Thanks for all your help! @foreverlaur

    So good! The doctor thinks we will have good chances with IUI! So we will be doing one in January. This is the first time in a long time that I am happy and excited about this process. I am hoping and praying hard that this works! @foreverlaur
