Going back to work... (venting)

I have a 4 week PP checkup this coming Wednesday to clear me to go back to work.... I'm dreading the day I return... How do you just leave your LO? I'm already emotional. The schedule I'm returning to has me all torn up because I work an EIGHT day stretch 7-3:30 add half an hour to drive there and another half hour to drive home, then I have a day off, work two days, have my weekend off, and back to an EIGHT day stretch. And REPEAT. EIGHT DAYS. Eight days in a row that I will only see her and get to interact with her for a few hours... I hate this schedule. I hate that I have to return to work this soon...

  • So sorry you have to go back and that your schedule stinks. Stay strong! Not gonna lie, it is super hard at first but it does get easier as you settle into the routine.

  • I am 2 weeks away from going back to work and I'm already crying and getting depressed about it. I just feel like he is entirely too young to leave him. The thought of paying someone else so much of my income to take care of him breaks my heart.
  • I went back to work Tuesday, 6 weeks PP. I spent the whole day thinking about my baby & looking at pics of him. Dropping him off at my grandma's the second day was easier than the first.
  • I'm going back Monday my baby just turned 7 weeks my schedule suck too. Work 8 - 730pm and 9- 730pm the rest of the week with a 45 min commute to work. Going to miss him soo much.
  • Any way you slice it returning back to work and leaving our LO's just plain stinks. On the bright side for me, as I posted early this morning about how much I hate my schedule.... My scheduler called me this morning and offered me something I cannot refuse! I have been offered my same full time position and benefits but each week I will ONLY work three days. The only downside is that they are 12 hour shifts but that means I will actually have way more days home with my DD.
  • I went back To work 3 days ago. My LO is 3 weeks. I so look forward to coming home! I miss him too much
