Every person and labor is different. My best friend had her first contraction and two hours later was holding a baby. I was dilated to 4 for almost 8 hours then went from 4 to 10 in a little over an hour. Your body will do what it is supposed to do when it's ready.
I'm 38 weeks and 2 days and still no sign indicating labor is coming soon how long before will I get a bloody show or lose my mucus plug?
40 weeks is full term. Those two weeks make a big difference for your LO's brain development. Every single labor is completely different. So we can't tell you.
I'm 38 + 4 and I have no signs as well. Doc said I might be 1cm dilated. I'm not in a hurry but am being induced next week for medical reasons. I still insisted waiting until I was more than 39 weeks because that is supposed to be safe for inducing. A little nervous about inducing but the doctor and nurses will be watching us closely.
with my last (#3) i was 0cm dilated at 40+5. at 41w my water broke without feeling one single contraction, and then i was holding my baby an intense 3h later. one of my SIL's babies was born at 43w. baby know when it's supposed to come you are almost there! just keep up the good work and enjoy having that baby all to yourself for the last time ever

I'm trying to avoid inducing as much as possible I don't wana rush him out I love having him in my tummy I just am wondering why I don't have any sort of signs im getting closer but for now I'm enjoying him being nice and toasty in me since its so cold out
Remember your due date is only an estimation. You could have ovulated several days before or after the middle of the cycle you conceived on. This is one of the reasons why so few babies arrive on their DD. I understand your impatience, it's so exciting that you're nearly at the end of the road! But yeah, like everyone else has said, it'll happen when it happens! Good luck
Re: Zero sign of labor coming anytime soon
You may go soon or after 40 weeks.
