Postpartum Depression

Chest pains months after baby

My baby just turned seven months old yesterday. I have been diagnosed with chronic depression over ten years ago and am currently on medication. For the last two months I started feeling chest pains when I'm stressed out, especially while driving and at work. I've also been miserable lately and I think postpartum depression has finally kicked in months after baby was born. Are the chest pains part of PPD?

  • If you're having chest pains whenever you're stressed out its anxiety. It'll feel tight and like someone is sitting in top of your chest like you can't breathe so you might have shortness of breath as well.

  • Also anxiety and depression are usually linked together.
  • Sounds like anxiety. I have pretty terrible anxiety with anxiety attacks. Its no fun. My symptoms are shortness of breath, chest discomfort, tummy problems, cold/hot flashes, dizziness, and just generally feeling like something bad is going to happen with my health.
