Where do you buy your baby clothes?

Preferably where do you buy your boy clothes at? Since my little guy has decided to fly into 6 month clothing at 10 weeks, I now have to buy all new winter and cold weather clothing. I figured I was being smart by buying all 0-3 months for warm clothes, clearly not. My mom has graciously offered to take me shopping for him, but most places I go to just don't have a good selection for boys. Since I'm not paying, I really don't want to go to Carter's since they're pricey. I'm personally a huge bargain shopper, but I haven't been able to find much of anything. I've been to multiple Ross, TJ Maxx, Walmarts. Where would you go for a big shopping trip on a budget?

    I usually wait until baby gap has a sale, and I shop online for a bigger selection. Last time I bought for him, they were having 40% off and I only shopped the sale section. The clothes ended up being cheaper than what I would find at tjmaxx or marshalls. Plus I got $50 gap cash to use in December! If you just need some basic onesies I would suggest tjmaxx or Burlington.

    I've found that the discount stores have a smaller selection of cute things while still costing about the same.
    A lot of times carters has a 50% off the whole store sale and they always have coupons for 20% off your entire purchase you can use in top of the sale prices.
    Carters is the only baby retail store I have in my area so I'm not really sure about the prices at gymboree etc

    SAMS, Kohls and the Carters Outlet. Also in 6 mos clothes due to his length so he wore all his 0-3 mos stuff like once:( and some stuff not at all. Hope number two is a boy!

    Target! And if you download their cartwheel app they're constantly having discounts on baby/kids clothes.

    Target, babies r us. Honestly though we pretty much buy all DDs clothes used. You can find lots of super cute stuff that looks brand new for super cheap.

    Kohls can have great deals and coupons. I have three children so I have been lucky to shop for the oldest and then use kohls cash at my next visit to fill in wardrobe gaps for the younger two (3 girls, lots of hand me downs). For items like snow gear I will go to a consignment shop.

    For cute things to fill gaps in wardrobe I like Baby Gap, and wait for a sale. For the main wardrobe I use hand me downs and consignment shops. The clothes are barely worn and very cheap!

    I mostly buy clothes at the kid's consignment store in my city ... long-sleeved onesies are only 99 cents and most look like they've only been worn a few times! Plus, there's more of a selection for boy clothing than Target has (because let's face it, 80% of the baby clothing at Target is for girls!).

    I also love Kohls ... they have a bigger selection than Target and everything is always on sale, and I'm a cardholder so I usually get 20-30% off and earn Kohls cash. I just bought a bunch of clothing there online actually!

    Also another cheap option is JC Penney! Check out the Black Friday deals online at any of these places. Carters is pretty cheap with their 40% coupon. Children's place outlet is in tinton falls!

    Definitely get Carters brand footie sleepers at Walmart on Black Friday. I think they are $3-4 this year. You should be able to get them online, too. The last 2-3 years I've gotten my daughter her winter pjs from them - I go about 10:00 and the crazies are all gone and they still have a great selection!!

    @chelseajeanene Carters is now having s 50% off sale until after holidays. And you can use a coupon 15% off purchase and 20% off $40. Never pay full price for Carters as they are always on sale even at babies r us and khols. I was just in Bobs and they were 50% off there too.

    Gymboree and Childrens place outlets. I like to buy the name brand, because I can usually consign them for more when I'm done with the clothes. I only shop there though when they are having sales!

    Agree with carters! Plus they recently started a rewards program. You get a 10$ coupon for every 75$ you spend. You don't have to spend all 75$ at once, it continuously adds to your balance. They always have coupons usually through email but you can find them online as well

    My situation's a little different than some, because we're a military family and have base access to PX and NEX, which are essentially functionally big box stores for military personnel.  They tend to stock mostly name brands at often major discounts, and tax-free. They carry loads and loads of Carter's, always at major bargain prices.  I like how Carter's fits my guy.  

    We pick up a few things elsewhere when we see good prices, but honestly, most of his clothes, I didn't buy; they were shower gifts, and/or hand-me-downs.  My brother and SIL have twin boys who are almost exactly a year older than him, and my SIL saves everything to pass along, and she gets nice stuff which is of course barely worn before it's outgrown.

    Lots of hand me downs still! We are lucky to have so many friends and family on their last baby...and they are all boys! LOL When I have shopped, it's at Carters outfit! The whole store was 50-60% off, plus I brought an I store promo code for 25% off the total purchase. I spent 60$ and got several things! All his holiday outfits, pj's, long sleeve onesies and matching pants.

    I usually shop carters, target and kohls. Only when things are on sale though. We recently got a very generous $300 gap gift card. I'm a bargain shopper and used it online almost everything I got was on clearance plus 30% off old navy and 35% off gap. I ended up getting 40 something items total including a few things for myself!

    I was going to suggest H&M earlier, but didn't get a chame to respond. I had no idea about their baby section until I looked online one day. We have a store in the mall that's 45 mins away and, while the majority of the clothing section for babies was totally mixed up, I found a 12 month white cardigan and a 6-9 month dress. They both happened to be on clearance and I got them for $5 total! It was great!

    I forgot about H&M.  We have a pretty big store nearby, but I don't shop there for me, so I forget about it.  I used to live around the corner from it, too.

    Yes H&m has really cute stuff. We go to target, babiesrus, and Dillard's for clothes. I never buy clothes for full price, only on sale.

    I always buy from Carters.
    Most time in store they have sales! And most days I get an email from them for a certain percentage off if I spend so much.

    If you have a Once Upon a Child in your area. It is a used clothing store for babies and kids clothes and it's super cheap. A lot of clothes have been barely worn or still have tags on it. That's where we get a lot of my sons clothes

    Sell outgrown clothes on OfferUp, 5 miles, ect. And shop at resale shops (once upon a child, kid to kid, ect.) or target Circo brand

    I know you said no to carters because of their price but they *always* have sales going on so you may want to check them out anyway. My LO is a boy and I've gotten the majority of his clothes from Carters or Target. My son is in the 17th percentile for height but 70th percentile for weight and I've found targets circo brand pants are the only ones that really seem to fit him in the waist without being too long in the legs.

    I did a ton of garage saleing this summer. I'd say check Craig's list. Or get on some Facebook mom 2 mom sale sites for your area. They're usually posting a lot of baby clothes for cheap and often very cute. Also if you have once upon a child they're cheaper than new clothes and the stores we have are filled to the brim with all sizes.

    Carters Outlet all the way! Not only are the clothes cute and already cheaper, but they run sales at the outlet--over the summer, there was a whole rack of "buy 3, get 1 free" and it had a huge variety of outfits. Also, I agree with people's suggestions about sale sections (especially Baby Gap--so cute)!

    I always shop babies r us and get Carters. They're always on sale so it may say 26$ for a four pack of shirts but it's actually 13. At least for me I've never gone and not seen it say half off. But we just had to get 6 month size also. We don't buy special outfits either, just two packs of shirts and two packs of pants. And they all kind of coordinate so we mix and match. And since we mostly stay indoors we didn't buy any jackets or boots. I just like Carters because the colors and designs are nice and not bam in your face pink for girls. So tired of pink...
