No. If you were 40 weeks you might get some suggestions (many might be old wives' tales, but whatever), but you're not 40 weeks yet. You don't take a roast out of the oven when it's "almost" done cooking, you let it finish cooking first.
Oh no. Do NOT try to induce at 37 weeks! I know I'm a FTM, but I understand and know to NOT try inducing THAT early. Unless there is a severe medical issue going on. And your doctor will let you know if there is. STOP what you're doing, if you're even trying to induce labor! :-S That's not healthy for you, or your LO...
I completely understand why you would want to induce labor naturally at this point. People can say your selfish and that its an awful idea but they don't know the pain your going through. I'm 38 weeks and I want this whole thing to be over! Research the internet and see what works for You.

Worst advice ever. Please do not go and start "googling" ways to induce labor. The baby will come when the baby is ready. Do you like to be rushed before you're done doing something? I doubt it.

Majority of people here are pregnant or have been pregnant before. Can't know the pain that being 37 or 38 weeks is? 8-| My daughter was a week late. Believe me, I know what it's like to be waiting and waiting. And I will wait and wait this time, too.

Oh hell no. This is my 3rd pregnancy so don't tell me I don't know what it's like. This pregnancy has been excruciating on my body but I'm hanging in there for the sake of my baby. Even all the women on bed rest or at the hospital desperately trying to keep baby safe inside are not wishing for an early baby. OP wait until you're at least 40 weeks, who knows what your body might do.

Wrong. I went to 41 weeks with my son. I understand pain & discomfort. Add lower lumbar fractures & fibromyalgia-- I think I might have a small idea of what OP is going through.
It's irresponsible to advocate a woman try to jump start labor before 40 weeks. That could harm her child. Please don't tell her to do "what works for her" when that is medically unsound advice.
Your baby's brain is still developing. Why steal that time from them?
@monsterk30k second pregnancy here and I actually do remember being miserable at the end. That still doesn't mean that I'd steal two weeks of development from my unborn child.
No such thing as "naturally inducing". No matter how you try to get baby out, unless BABY decides to come out in his or her own, trying the "tips and tricks" is still trying to force your baby out. Just because you're not using hospital drugs to do it, doesn't mean it's natural.
If you didn't think you could handle being pregnant for a full 40 weeks then maybe you shouldn't have conceived. Don't induce labor. You could put yourself and your baby in danger. Whatever you injest or do, your baby gets as well. Don't be a dunce.
I know two women who had their babies at 37 weeks recently. One went into labor spontaneously and the other had to be induced due to high blood pressure and low platelet count. While neither of their babies had to go to the NICU or anything, BOTH of them were unable to breastfeed as intended because their babies hadn't been cooking long enough to develop their latching/suckling reflex.
Will this happen to every 37 week baby? No. Is it the end of the world that these two women had to pump and bottle feed instead of breastfeeding directly? Nope. but they both really wanted to breastfeed and were unable to, which was upsetting to them. And, more importantly, it proves that while a baby CAN survive outside the womb at 37 weeks gestation, it will not be fully developed at that time and would benefit from staying in until it is ready to come out.
I know perfectly well how uncomfortable being 37, 38, 39 weeks pregnant is. It's not worth trying to evict the baby early. BELIEVE ME you will be more uncomfortable after going through labor, and you will be more tired when you have an outside baby to deal with. Don't rush it.
Time is a great way to naturally induce. You only have a few weeks left. Chill out and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. You will never be pregnant with this baby again so cherish this special time. I myself am getting sad thinking I won't feel her sweet kicks anymore in just a few weeks. It really is a blessing.
Wow, I wish I knew what this felt like...I'm 31 weeks pregnant, on bed rest for risk for of preterm labor, and I pray each waking moment to stay pregnant as long as possible! I'm sure you must be in pain, but please appreciate the huge blessing you have and try to stay pregnant as long as your baby needs! There are MANY of us out there who would loveeeee to get to 40 weeks!
There is so much brain development that happens in the last few weeks of gestation. I couldn't imagine robbing my baby of this just because I was uncomfortable. This is my first pregnancy and I've had HG, I still throw up multiple times a day...every single day, my back is excruciatingly painful due to a prior L1-L3 fracture combined with the stress my LO is putting on my belly, I get 1-2 migraines a week where I literally hang my head over a toilet bowl for hours and want to bash my head against the wall just to feel a different type of pain, and have been in the hospital three times with real contractions that had to be stopped with meds. I'm 32 weeks and despite being miserable I wouldn't potentially stunt my LO's growth and development just because I'm miserable. I've been miserable since about week 7 so if I can make it this far I can put my big girl panties on and suck it up another 8 weeks. There are so many women who would love to make it to full term (which is 40 weeks NOT 37) and can't because of medical issues. Count yourself lucky and have some patience for the sake of your unborn child.
You don't try to self induce.period. As i have said to women on previous posts just like this, if you can not handle being pregnant for 40-42 weeks do not even try to conceive. And for the PP who said none of us know the pain shes going through. Chick SWERVE. Yeah because none of us have ever had babies. So we have no clue. =;
I'm 39 weeks pregnant and my gynae had given me a few tips. I know it's hard and tiring at this stage. The waiting is unbearable but I realized that the baby will come when he is ready. You honestly don't want any complications. You still haven't been through the difficult parts trust me. Also I was given dates where I will be be induced if I pass my 40 weeks. Last Friday I had my check up and I haven't dilated at all so just relax. Everyone and every body is different
Something you can do to prepare yourself is drinking a cup of Raspberry leaf tea. I You can get it online or at Publix. I've heard wonderful things about it. I'm 33 weeks and drink 1 cup a day. Once I hit 37 weeks I'll bump it to 2 cups a day. It helps prepare your uterus for delivery. It's also recommended after giving birth, and even helps when mother nature makes her monthly visits.

I lurk. I snark. I offer sound advice if you're not BSC. You may not like me. I'm okay with it.
If you wait it out and bebe is still late, do a little dance. Make a little love. Get down tonight.
Do not try to jump start labor. It's too early.

1) No. You aren't even full term.
2) If you insist on doing this stupid crap, despite not being full term, please ask elsewhere. We are not Google.
