This is the second week in a row where I'm wide awake at 3am even though I've been dragging my feet and lagging all day. I'm up for about an hour and then I can toss and turn myself back to sleep. This is not the normal FML-I'm-pregnant-as-a-moose-wanna-die-miserable-gotta-waddle-to-the -bathroom-and-pee-then-toss-n-turn-with-heartburn-and-contractions-and-a-back-ache middle of the night wake up. I go from dead asleep to eyes wide open and alert and first thought is, "My water is going to break right now." I normally then have a wicked contraction. Then nothing, but I'm wide awake for an hour or so.
My conspiracy theory is this (blame the sleep deprivation): my body is prepping me to go into active labor around 3am and these are just "dry runs" for the main event.
Who else has been driven to the point of insanity with weird theories/thoughts about their bodies or how their baby is going to make their entrance?
Re: My crazy pregnancy conspiracy theory ...
My DH said last night his child will go to bed early and wake up early...I laughed, apparently he doesn't realize in baby time waking up early will be about 2-3am...not what DH considers the reasonable hours of anytime after 4:30am.
Come on guys, if MEN had to go through this, medical science would have already found all the answers AND found effective ways to make it so seamless, it would be pleasant.
But because it's us, the best we get is "idunno.. hormones? The moon?" followed by "Come on. All the pain makes it even more worth it" What kind of logic is this?
UGH.
I get hit in the face by accidnet all the time but I get a half asleep "aww sorry darling" and a drooly forehead kiss lol
