Making me worry... Anyone else?

I am 11wk 1 day. I have had HORRIBLE MS this whole pregnancy, but today I felt much better. Not nautious, have energy and feeling good.... my sickness has been awful but a good reminder of things going well in there! I know I'm probably crazy but feeling better is making me worry, I can't help it, especially since my loss in August... Anyone else feel this way??

Re: Making me worry... Anyone else?

  • I've had this happen and worried too! Unfortunately for me it was short lived and I was back to my awful ms the next day. A friend of mine said that good days happen and to enjoy them. Totally understand your worry though, I still get a bit cautious on good days (currently 12 weeks).

  • It's supposed to not be as bad in second tri...which you are super close to! I wouldn't worry! Sounds like your body is doing what it should about this time.
  • I agree with the PP.  You may be entering the honeymoon phase of your pregnancy- 2nd trimester :-)

  • I'm with you @Candacenellie, tho I'm only 10.3 weeks, I'm on day 3 of almost no nausea, after all day barf like nausea barely able to leave the couch. Think I need to invest in the St home Doppler for daily peace of mind:)

  • You're at the point where hCG naturally starts to decline, I wouldn't be overly concerned that symptoms are going away a few days before the end of the 1st trimester.
  • I've been way less sick this week too! I'm 11 weeks 5 days. I think it's because we are closing in on second trimester!
  • On day 11-1 I felt much better also! I could even drink a cup of coffee in the morning without being sick. Sure enough it came back a few days later and I now tend to have evening sickness. Definitely starting to feel less tired as well.

  • I am a little relieved after reading everyone's posts and I started feeling sick again about an hour ago so I guess I'm just getting lucky having some good days in between the hell!
  • Can you get a doppler? I use mine every couple days for reassurance. You should be far enough along to find the hb with no problem.

I just need to order one! I rented one last baby for 40/mo, realizing I got robbed!

  • I feel a little better reading this thread. This is my first pregnancy and every day I can't get over the anxiety and worry that everything is okay. I am 11w1d and a little less than a week ago my symptoms subsided drastically. I still feel a little crampy pressure here and there , which I think is 'stretching' but I'm much less bloated, most of my food aversions have subsided -- H made an omelette with lox in my first month that really killed me, and he made it this morning without telling me and I was fine -- and my boobs are not nearly as swollen or sore as they were, they might even be back to normal.
Without symptoms I'm spending a lot of time in my head hoping everything is okay and I am just on edge until my 12w appt on Nov. 30. :-/
  • As pp have stated you are probably getting the benefits of being almost second tri!!!
  • I'm a little over 10 weeks. I woke up feeling pretty good. I was worried at first but then it came back!
Its hard not to worry but Im pretty sure its normal. It may help you to invest a doppler that you could use at home when your feeling nervous. =)
  • My MS peaked horribly at 10 weeks. Suddenly one day it all ended and hasn't' shown its face since. I'm 12 weeks. Praying it stays that way!

  • I'm so glad to read these posts! I had a very sick 6-10 weeks but by week 11 everything seemed to subside practically overnight! I'm 12weeks 2days and looking forward to my ultrasound next week
  • OP- I agree with pps! Congrats on the good day, hope you're trucking into the next, more fun phase.

I'm at 10+0 and had horrible nausea all week 8 and 9, but woke up today and felt great - not tired and only a tiny bit nauseous. I told DH it's Bc we finally had energy last night to whatever. ;)

I started to feel nauseated again just now as I got ready for bed. Mostly trying not to worry and enjoy the brief relief, whatever the cause.
  • Good morning, June moms! I'm 12wk2d and feeling so much better. I laughed with my girlfriend because we whine when we feel ill and worry when we don't! We're approaching the second trimester and should start to feel a decrease in symptoms. Stop worrying, it's good for you and baby to relax :)
  • I hear you with the worry.  I am told by my husband multiple times a day to relax and stop worrying.  I told him its easy for him to distract himself from the worry- because he isn't feeling every cramp and twinge of nausea and not knowing if it's "normal".  So I'm not going to tell you to relax- cause I'm sure you are sick of hearing it.

What I will say is that week 9 is the hump week- the peak of MS.  So any time after week 9 you should start to have more good days.  If it's just temporary- than at least you felt good for a few hours.  Eat something!

Also I will say that during my loss I had a nagging feeling that I just wasn't pregnant.  I brushed it off- and got excited- but this time I'm all about trusting that nagging feeling.  Trust your gut- if you think something is wrong talk to your doctor.  If you are just feeling guilty about enjoying eating for a day- than let it go.   With this pregnancy I'm not nauseous nearly as much as I was before- and I hate it.  But I cry at commercials- so my hormones still let me know everything is going to be fine.
