Ladies that have done the test and paid out of pocket... what have you paid to get it done?

I just called my insurance, and all testing (NT Scan, MaterniT21) will go toward my deductible, but nothing is covered until I hit it. (Note: I have about $1300 to go to hit my deductible.)

I am not high risk, and I have no family history of chromosomal disorders. However, the insurance I had with the first did cover this, so I am not sure whether to skip it or go for it.

I'm not doing the test so I have no personal experience but a friend of mine did it bc she is 37. She had to pay 800.00 out of pocket for it.

Are you referring to the hamony test?
I just got my results today (all good and gender is in a sealed envelope

but I called my insurance before and I have 0 deducatable and they pay 85% of tests so they said I would have to pay little over 600$ but if I fill out a financial aid form they mail with the bill it will drop down to 130$ .... Just a heads up our income is pretty high for our household and she still stated we made the cut for it .... Which we never get any kind of assistance ... So I think every one gets it....

I did call my OB office... And she thought the test would cost me about $200. I am getting so much anxiety over whether or not to get the darn test.

My office said the Harmony test will come down to $130 for me if my insurance doesn't cover it. I asked why the test is so cheap. She replied that because it is new, the company is generating interest. She said it actually was free when it first came out.
