@K&Elizabeth bless your dogs heart and your families! I hope he gets better fast & you all have the best possible outcome!
Edit: idk why it's not letting me tag you
Thank you! He's responding really well to the treatment and they think they got it all at his last surgery. He goes for blood work next month to make sure it didn't spread. He has a limp now, but thankfully they were able to save his leg. Now we're just trying to fatten him back up I
That's great news! Prayers for him and that his cancer hasn't spread & he's cancer free! Idk what you're feeding him but giving him puppy food will fatten him up in no time; it contains extra calories!
Here's some of my "pets" lol Molly is the black lab Frankie is my mini wiener dog (my bff) The horse with the star on its forehead is a quarter horse registered as " two dry four" we call her DD. The horse without the star is " miss turnstyle " we call her shortstop. The horse who is smiling at the trailer is " red man in the ally" we call him jonsey

Do you ride your horses? (Not sure if that's you in the pictures on your horses) While growing up my family had 2 quarter horses, Cheyenne & Shadow. Such good pets!

Yes! They are all quarter horses My mom and I barrel race in the NBHA and rodeo. Mostly in Indiana /Illinois but we travel to Georga, Mississippi, Texas, Ohio and Florida for big shows. That me in both photos . One is from 2014 one is older from 2010. Moms horse is the one smiling ( he's older so mom runs him now on occasion ) and she's got 2 others that I didn't mention .

Oh, how fun! My mom showed horses when she was a teen. I never did. Only trail riding!
We have a five month old boxer named Kobe! He is thankfully all potty trained now! We are a little nervous about him being a little jealous of the baby as he is the one who gets all of the attention now wherever we go he is great with kids in our neighbourhood though so no worries there!
This pic is so cute! My pup always sits like that - we call it his fat man sit! He thinks he's a person. He's a 4 year old "lab/hound mix" (we think he has pit in him but the adoption agency didn't want to say that bc of the stigma) named Conner and is totally our child. I'm a little worried that he's going to be jealous of the baby but we've been exposing him to our friends kids and he's been so good with them. I think it might be a little hard on him at first but I'm hoping they'll become besties!!
Here is his with his "treat baby" that he constantly harasses us to fill with treats. Thanks grandma for teaching him that "adorable" trick!
Bernie is our 5 yo Bernese mountain dog (I posted this picture on TTT). She has wobblers disease and is rapidly declining. She can barely stand up and walk, falls down stairs, etc. I'm afraid she won't make it through the winter (I have no idea how it's going to work with snow and ice). But I love that big gentle giant so much.
We adopted Zurich on our 1 year anniversary (he's 8 now). He's named after the first place DH and I hooked up, Zurich, Switzerland. He's so beautiful and soft but pretty much an asshole. He's currently bullying the other cat away from the litter box (this is a BIG issue).
George is now 4 (but this kitty picture!) and he's a mama's boy and always trying to cuddle with me. DH surprised me with him one day as I always wanted a tiny little grey kitten. Now if only he could stop peeing and pooping around the house...
Kya is our year and half golden doodle. She's sweet, thinks she's a human and definitely a little diva.... She won't go to the bathroom if the grass is wet after it rains, she'll hold it but she's play for hours in the snow. She does very well with our friends kids so we're keeping our fingers crossed she does well with the one that will be invading her space
I love this! I can't wait for my big fur babies to meet baby. They haven't been around babies...ever. So we're curious to see how it will go and working to help them adjust before baby gets here. Riley is my big lab mix. He loves kids!! Our biggest fear is him pawing at the baby because he likes to do that for attention. Oap, Our smaller hound/blue heeler/Australian Shepard mutt is stubborn, not the best with kids when they lay on him or tug on him. I know that if he does show any aggressive behaviors that my parents will take him in. we're hoping we can just keep them both separated from baby unless under strict supervision and things will work out. The picture is them after DS covered them I'm baby powder. (DS was introduced to them at a young age, and Riley adores him! Oap tolerates him and has to be watched closely)
& our cat, Princess Angel (she's also very tolerant of our toddler)
It's his favorite sitting position lol. You should see the look on our friends faces when they see him sit like that in front of our tv when we're all trying to watch a movie, it's priceless!
This is Rylee our Bernese Mountain Dog. She is 8 months old in the first picture weighing 65 lbs and she is 8 weeks old in the second pic. She will probably get around 100 lbs full grown. She is crazy, and LOVES attention. She loves her brother who is 19 months old. She lets him crawl all over her and even grab her cheeks LOL.
I think I've bragged on Akira before, but here she is again, in all her obstinate glory (she had just fetched her bowl out of the kitchen and taken it into the guest bed for... reasons). I adopted her almost 6 years ago now when she was maybe 2 years; she was a stray, so we're not 100% sure of her breed (maybe part Shiba?) or her age. She was so shy when I first adopted her that she'd hide behind my legs and shake when we'd go out for a walk and she saw someone a block away. Now I have a difficult time convincing her that not every person we pass on the sidewalk wants to pet her. Obedience is not her strong suit; she knows all her commands, but won't obey them without a good reason (what constitutes a "good reason" depends on her mood). Still, she's a really sweet, generally well-behaved, and extremely loveable dog.
I am a little concerned for when the baby comes, as she has a really difficult time sharing attention; there are no hugs in our household that don't involve Akira trying to squeeze between us, and she'll squeak or paw at you if you dare to stop petting her before she's ready. She adores the little kids in the park, though, even when they're pulling on her fur or attacking her with hugs, so hopefully we'll be okay.

All 3 were rescue animals
