Pregnant after a Loss

Holy S*!# a bfp

Hi ladies!
Yesterday at 8 dpo I got a VERY faint positive. I couldn't believe it. I had a loss in June, so I am terrified right now. I want to get excited but I just am not letting myself.

I called my doctor immediately yesterday after I found out because she recommended I start progesterone. So tonight is my first night taking it. Has anyone taken it and did you experience Any of the side effects?

I definitely felt an increase in bloating but otherwise nothing really specific. I take it orally 400mg at night.

No side effects for me! Just some skin irritation if some leaked out and I didn't wash it off (over night). Congratulations!

Thanks everyone! I was thinking this morning, I got a positive hpt at 8 dpo. I am not expecting my period until November 14th, so that would be 2 weeks before my missed period. This is exactly what happened to me last time. It was so early, which makes me worry. I have a 34 day cycle. I'm so freaked. Has this happened to anyone? Having a positive way before your period?

I'm a dirty lurker here -- not pg at the moment.  Getting a BFP at 8dpo is fine (but I'm not a dr).  The issue is that the risk of losing a pregnancy is highest at the very early stages.  So being able to turn a test at 8dpo isn't bad, but KNOWING that early means you will be aware if you have a chemical pregnancy.  If I hadn't tested early for my second pregnancy, I would have just thought AF was a day late.

I hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy.  I like to come to this board to see people like me getting happy endings.
