IUI on CD 10?

Has anyone ever heard of this? I am on CD 7 and just finished 5mg of femara from CD3-7.

I had my first u/s of this month today and they were surprised to already see 2 13mm follicles. I am going back on Friday for another u/s. The doctor said to me today: "I bet you we'll be doing your IUI on Saturday."

On Saturday I will only be on CD 10. Has anyone heard of it being done so early?

I am typically ready on CD10 both with meds and even without meds.  My last medicated cycle, I triggered on CD8 with IUI on CD10.  Sometimes I trigger on CD10, so the IUI be later.  But I am an early-bird too!!

ETA:  On my first cycle - they almost did the first ultrasound too late.  On CD12 - I had a 24mm follicle and they were afraid they had missed my O (thinking I was Oing at the doctors office)

I've also been an early-ish ovulater. However, my RE relied more on bloodwork than just follie size to time everything, which turned out to be a really good thing for me. One my last femara only cycle, I technically had one mature follie on day 10, but my eggs weren't ready til day 12, and then I ended up with 3.

Fast forward to my first Femara + Follistim cycle (with IUI, we did TI before), my follies were really slow to grow (compared to my previous cycles). The day before my IUI, I had one at 19, and 2 at 15, so we thought I had an extra day or so. Turns out the clinic called me in a panic that afternoon saying I was about to o and to get my ovidrel in that night and come for IUI the next morning. If we had waited for this to look like my other cycles, I likely wouldn't be pregnant now. IUI was on CD13. I can't stress enough how good monitoring (not scheduled in advance on a specific day but depending on how THIS cycle evolves, with u/s and b/w) is important.

    FX this is your cycle!

^^ Completely agree.  Seems some REs don't do bloodwork and rely only on follicle size.  Bloodwork is a very important component.  I considered canceling one cycle because they saw 5-6 mature follicles.  Estradol came back at a under 800.  So they were pleased and we continued the cycle (the bloodwork indicated I had 4 or less follicles).
