Anyone else selfish, too?

Ok, so I'm 10w6d today. We have three children that are 14, 12, and 9 (my step-children). We decided that we wanted the kids to know before we made announcements to the rest of DH's family. (I did tell my mom and sis, though ;)) so, our plan for the last few weeks has been to tell the kids this Saturday and DH's parents and siblings and nephews on Sunday at our weekly meal. Then to tell my family on Thanksgiving.

I have been so excited this whole time to finally get to tell everyone and now that it's about to happen... I want to keep our little secret a bit longer. I'm not sure why I'm all of a sudden feeling this way, but it's just so nice to have this little wonderful special secret and it's making DH and I feel even closer. Anyone else?

    This is exactly how I feel!  DH and I don't want to tell but or birth mother (also my BFF) is dying for my family to know!  I am personally stressing out over it.  I just want to keep it our little special secret for now.

    7/23 US #1 ~ 1 gestational sac seen and yolk sac
    7/30 US #2 and 1st OB appt ~ 1 perfectly round gestational sac, 1 perfect yolk sac and 1 teeny tiny heart beat seen!!!

    We were planning on telling grandparents on thanksgiving but now I'm starting to wonder if that's a good idea or not, I almost want to push off telling everyone as long as possible but we won't see DH's grandparents in person for awhile after so we might just have to go ahead with it.

    I'm always far too excited to tell! I think partly it's so I can complain about how nauseous I feel. ;)

    I do love that little bit of time where its just DH and I in on the secret. Oh and I love my mom and the rest of my family not treating my like i'm incapable of doing anything which they will once they know, lol.
    But I am also super excited to share the news!!!

    If I weren't so sick, I would probably be feeling the same way. But after seeing the heartbeat today we are starting to tell people just so they know why we've been MIA lately. My employees seriously all think I've had the flu for three weeks. I mostly just want them to know they can stop decontaminating themselves after they leave my office! It is nice when it's a secret, though.

    We made our news public this week, and I had the same last minute feeling and almost changed my mind. Once we spilled the beans, though, I was so excited to get feedback and see how excited everyone was for us. And now I'm glad the secret is out :)

    The day we told dh's parents, i went to pick up a box of dh's birthday presents to load into the car, and his dad was all "no, you cant lift that, let me get it". Ummm, I lift weights at the gym a LOT heavier than that box. I'm just pregnant, not disabled

    Well it's good to know I'm not the only one with last minute jitters.  I am really excited to share the news with everyone, it's just been nice having this little precious baby just between the two of us.  Our family is going to be over the moon about it!

    I'm not sure if it's selfishness, but I just don't like telling people in general. I mean, I was excited to tell a few close friends - which I did before the pee had dried - but announcing it, telling extended family, blah. I let my hubby do it - he seems to love it.
