  You could send one with your daughter holding an ultrasound picture and then later send an announcement.

  Send late with both kids. Have the template, address labels and stamps ready so all you need is to incorporate the photo(s) and send them out. Family and friends will obviously get why. Maybe include a New Year reference or just have it be a holiday card over Christmas.

  Maybe I am just being totally lazy but my due date is 12/20, I have no desire to send out holiday cards this year. Especially after writing out and addressing over 50 thank you's from my baby shower. I'd rather just send out a birth announcement once we get his newborn photos back.

  I'm due Dec 1 and planning to induce next week if things work out. Obviously I'm not facing the situation but we discussed incorporating the birth announcement with the Christmas card. What we decided was that DS had his birth announcement (October baby) separate from anything else so we'll keep them separate for her as well. To save postage we handed as many of DS's out as we could at Christmas.

  I'm due the 14th which is typically when I'd have my cards in the mail. I plan on doing it a separate announcement but can't decide what to do about Christmas cards (I usually do 4-6 pictures collage of some of the things we did in the previous year. I am trying to decide if I should wait for a baby picture or do a bump picture or just mail them as normal and follow up with the announcement).

  Lol.. I didn't even think of that!
  I ordered our Christmas cards today and left the LO out. :S
  I'm due the 29th, so I'm not thinking she will be here before Christmas unless the doctor insists we still induce before the holiday.
  I'm having a combined baby shower/ welcoming party for the LO after the new year and used an ultrasound photo. I'll send out both at the same time and save on stamps
  I didn't know people sent out New Years cards!!!!!
