I use the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and I wouldn't trade it for anything (except maybe a Symphony... if I could afford it). It lasted through my first DD for 2 years and is still going strong. As far as where to purchase I ordered mine from a seller on eBay (brand new, sealed with all safety seals) and it saved me a fortune over buying in the store (I paid $170 versus the $400 price tag here in Canada).
I have an old Medela Pump in Style, a new Ameda Purely Yours, and a Medela Symphony rental. I highly recommend the rental if you can afford it. The other two are basically the same.
I also have the pump in style advanced. I really like it. We ordered ours on Amazon because our insurance only covers a manual pump. Check with your insurance to see what they cover.
I also have the Medela Pump in Style Advanced fully covered with my insurance. I only just started pumping to let DH give her some bottles, but it's working great so far. I got mine through the Target breast pump program. They were super easy to work with and they took care of everything!
I have a medela pump in style advance and a spectra s2. I am able to pump more with the Medela but the spectra is definitely more comfortable. Both I ordered through my insurance company
I'm actually renting the medela symphony from the lactation center at my local hospital. I checked with my insurance and they cover 90% of the rental cost. Worth looking into!
