Anyone else naming their baby boy Lucas?

I'm obsessed with my baby's name and I'm just wondering who else is naming their son Lucas?

    Looks like Luke for us .... Husband prefers it over Lucas (I think he just wants to say 'Luke I am your father' ... You know, like Darth Vader lol)
    But oddly he will probably be called by a nickname ... My two other LO's have already started calling him Augie from his family middle name of August.
    Anyway, I think Lucas is adorable :)

    No Lucas (or Luke) here, either. But I got a chuckle from the Darth Vader comment. The name we chose can be shortened to "Can" (pronounced CON or KHAN) and one of the reasons DH pushed for the name itself was because he could yell "Kaaaaaahhhhn" William Shatner/Star Trek style through the house when the little man screws up. Men lol

    I LOVE the name Lucas.. But it's my husbands first cousins name so he isn't going for it

    If we were having a boy it would have been Lucas but we're having a girl. Maybe next time.

    DH's best friend is named Lucas so no go for us.

    Yup! Luke for short. DH is a huge geek and baby is due the day after the new movie comes out. I have always loved the name and he pounced on it when I mentioned the connection. I read it will be a popular name because of the movie.

    Oh this is too funny PP ... We did not pick the name based on the movie (even though I joked earlier about my husband and Darth Vader) and I just looked up the release date ... It will be his birthday. We're inducing on the 18th lol.

    We're naming our little man Luca.  We love it, everyone else loves it, but my dad hates it.  I told him he could call him Luke and he said that was all right.

    I really like the name.  A family member named their dog Luke ages ago so that kind of killed the name for me.

    I started telling people that DH picked it for Star Wars and I picked it for Gilmore Girls. :-)
