I met my Doula today!!!

So, my Doula came over today for the first time and I am so so so relieved and happy that we decided to go this route. Being an FTM and without my mom for encouragement has had me so nervous lately about the baby, pregnancy, picking a midwife/OB, delivery, you name it! Everything is just unknown to me. She totally put everything in perspective and we hugged and I'm finally excited for my little JuneBaby! Had to share. Anyone else have a doula?

    Congrats! I just got an email back from my doula confirming she'll take me on and I'm so psyched! She's a lady I know already through mom groups with my older baby and I know she's going to be so amazing supporting me with the new addition <3 I didn't have a doula the first time and totally regretted it!

    My neighbor/ close friend is a professional doula and asked to be ours when she found out we were trying. We had already decided to ask and are so happy to have her on our team. I think it's great if you can have the option and are looking for a specific style of support or patient advocate. So glad you're excited! GL!

    Sounds like a great idea. It's funny that you posted this as I was up thinking about this option last night! A lot of women say that a Doula did a fantastic job of relieving the pressure of childbirth from both them and their partners. Midwives are often pretty busy so a doula can help bridge any gaps in support. Forgot that they are there to help throughout pregnancy too. Glad you like her, sounds like a good choice.
