Spanish-American Boys Names

Hello everyone! My love and I have had a terrible time picking out name choices for our sweet boy.

I am White and he is Hispanic of Mexican/Nicaraguan descent and we'd like to incorporate both of our cultures in the name if possible.

Any suggestions are welcome!

You are white but is there a certain culture you want to incorporate from your side? Irish? Italian? Otherwise maybe a relative you want to include?

For Hispanic names familiar in America I'd say

I like the ideas of Matteo or Ricardo both have the possibilities of nn that are common but the full names will make your child stand out

You could also consider the Spanish version of one of your family names - James=>Santiago, John=>Juan, Michael=>Miguel, etc or vice versa. Could be a good way to cover both sides in one name.

I LOVE the name Diego but DH and I are both Scandinavian so we could never use it. I also really like Pablo.
You could do a Hispanic name as the middle name and a "white" (since I don't know more specifically) name as the first name, if the last name sounds especially Hispanic.

Santiago and Diego are really great names. I love both of those but could never use them for cultural reasons.

Victor - I have loved it since I met a toddler in Guatemala who was the cutest. It is spelled the same in English and Spanish but pronounced differently.
Our kids (girls) go to Spanish preschool and we are expecting a boy now, so I have thought about names that will "translate" well in both languages. Sadly, I can't get my H on board with this one because "he knew a guy..." But I still love it.
