Anyone else not feel pregnant?

Other than being tired and having sore boobs I just don't feel like I'm pregnant! I haven't gotten sick at all, just occasionally have an upset stomach, but it never lasts long, and smells don't bother me. I'm hoping that when I finally start to get a baby bump it will sink in for me!

Re: Anyone else not feel pregnant?

  • That's okay though some days I feel fine and others I don't feel well at all depends on the baby :)

  • I can totally relate!  MS has never been really bad for me (I feel nauseous in the mornings but not enough to throw up).  Now I'm getting towards the end of the first trimester, and the symptoms I did have are starting to go away.  I'm thankful to feel good, and I wouldn't wish for nausea and other symptoms that many ladies on here are dealing with.  Still, I'll be happy to go to the doctor this week to reaffirm that I'm pregnant.
  • I am the same as you. I'm 8 weeks 2 days. Just tired and occasionally have tender boobs. Otherwise hardly anything. I'm thankful not to be sick but I can't wait to get a bump to start feeling it and be reassured. :)
  • I am so thankful not to be sick too! I'm 10 weeks and 3 days so I'm nearing my second trimester and I hope I can make it without throwing up! Every one who knows we are expecting are so shocked I haven't gotten sick.
  • I was sick in the beginning and haven't really been lately so it keeps making me nervous :( I wish we didn't have to wait 4 weeks between each appointment. I want to be reassured I'm still pregnant!
  • I haven't had any symptoms in 3 weeks, I'm 9w1d
  • After my trip to the doctors (after my marathon throw up session that required me getting fluids) I've noticed a dramatic decrease in my symptoms. I mean I still have them but in comparison it's nothing. Kinda makes me nervous but I keep telling myself that that can happen.
  • I am 8w3d and in the same boat....I haven't has MS @ all and some days don't feel pregnant @ all....I have had some days where I am extremely tired & take a nap & my chest has been sore..especially to the touch - I am also pretty bloated....but I just think we are some of the lucky ones, however it did make me nervous for weeks because I thought being sick meant a healthy baby, but I now know that is not the case and some women just don't experience MS
  • I don't really have any symptoms, I didn't with my first either, so i never really "feel" pregnant. After feeling the baby move is when I think it'll really sink in for me.
  • I kind of feel the same. Had morning sickness 4-5 times now and it sucks when I have it, but the other days I just notice my sore boobs. I say we should count ourselves lucky!
  • Me too! I get a tinge of MS once in awhile, but I'm barely feeling anything else. The cramping ended. I'm tired this weekend, but I'm battling a cold so that could be it! 8 wks without a doctors appt yet, so I'm convinced the baby stopped growing.

Getting a home fetal Doppler really took a lot of that anxiety away for me. I realize hearing he/she heartbeat isn't confirming that everything is fine and baby is healthy but it is nice when I have days that I don't feel pregnant at all and no symptoms to be able to lay down and find the babies heartbeat and be assured that he/she is still in there! Lol

  • This thread hit the nail on the head! This whole pregnancy thing is a huge test in blind faith! To believe there's a little life growing inside of me, yet I don't feel it & can't see it regularly is quite a challenge especially when my symptoms are very minimal. I'm really looking forward to our next sonogram in a few weeks. I'm 9w4d. Relieved to see I'm not alone in this feeling.
  • I am the same way!  I only had 1 thing that made me sick so far.  I literally keep touching my boobs to make sure they are still sore!   I am really not that tired anymore.  A little bit but not exhausted like I was the first couple weeks. With DD I didn't feel anything either.  I guess we are just the lucky ones!

  • So glad to be able to have people to relate to. I am 10 weeks today, and have only had sore breasts and the fatigue. I've seen the baby's heartbeat twice and that was nice to get that reassurance because I was expecting to be sick. I've just considered myself extremely lucky and try not to worry myself. This is my first pregnancy so its hard when I am not able to compare to previous pregnancies.
  • Yes I feel the same way! Tired at the end of the day, boobs are sore nothing I can't handle ... Still keeping up with workouts not gained any weight! I feel not pregnant too lol 8wks2d here!
  • No MS at all...just sore boobs, extreme exhaustion and congestion. I have also heard the babies heartbeat twice now, but at 9wks6d I'm still waiting for it to sink in. I also ordered a fetal doppler. Not sure yet if that will help or will be sent back due to it causing more anxiety. lol
  • I keep saying this same thing to my husband. It hasn't hit me yet. I thought maybe after we shared the news with others it would seem more real but nope!
  • I've had almost no symptoms at all at 11 weeks. Just a little tired and weepy... but I'm like that when I'm not pregnant. I just had my prenatal panel done, so I'm going to call to see if there is any news. I don't go to the doc again until Nov 30. I just keep remembering that I did see the baby with a heartbeat a few weeks ago so I'm going to try to stay positive!

    Good luck :)
  • I love this thread. My sickness has been minimal too, and its has been about 5 days since I felt a anything off. Not particuly nervous of anything being wrong, but definitely looking forward to next ultrasound to check that baby is happy and healthy.

I still don't feel pregnant either. Thinking once I feel baby movement that it will really sink in that this is happening
  • Me too!  I'm at 8 weeks, 4 days and have had zero morning sickness.  That actually kind of worries me as I've read that rough morning sickness was a sign of a very healthy pregnancy.  So now I have that to worry about, too.  The sore boobs has been a real issue though.  I literally cannot take my bra off without serious pain.  That happened during my periods though, too, just not constantly for weeks on end.  Can't wait for that to be over!

  • I'm so glad I'm not alone!
  • I'm so glad I'm not alone! I'm 8 weeks pregnant with freakin TWINS and most of the time I feel too good. It really freaks me out especially since I had a loss in June. However I did read that at this point the placenta takes over hormone production which may provide some symptom relief. Well, I have TWO placentas so doesn't that mean double the relief? I've had two ultrasounds each a week apart. The second ultrasound showed tremendous growth and increasing heart rates. My next ultrasound is a week from today so I'm trying to relax. My boobs are sore off and on and I have mild nausea at best.
  • I second that on the congestion. I'm seriously done with my nose lol.

So glad I'm in good company! I haven't thrown up once, but occasionally get nauseated. I'm tired, but not exhausted (and this was true pre-preg anyway). My boobs didn't even get sore until around 6 weeks and then it was only my nipples until last week. The biggest difference is probably in mood - I'm already fairly emotional, but I definitely have been taking things more personally and crying at everything.
With the exception of the sore boobs, I feel more like I have a very mild hangover as opposed to a baby in there. Can't wait til my first appt on Thursday! Hopefully it will feel more 'real' then.

Same here. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow. Never had MS. Have some food aversions occasionally, slightly sore boobs at this point, very light cramping occasionally, weird dreams. I keep thinking "I don't feel bad enough to be pregnant." I'm anxiously awaiting my next appointment next Wednesday.

Edited because my appointment is definitely Wednesday and not Thanksgiving.

  • Wanted to check-in her again, since its been two weeks since whatever mild ms i had stopped.  I am sure I am fine and baby is fine, but sometimes I wish I had even mild symptoms. Can't wait till my 12 week scan in three weeks to check baby and hopefully after that I will feel better once I am pass the 12 week mark...sigh  crazy how I can't even enjoy that I have no ms symptoms, cause I am so worried. re-reading all you girls post to reassure me that having no m/s is perfectly fine,
  • I feel exactly like most of you. I have had nausea and tender breasts since day 1. I'm now 10w1d and slowly the symptoms are decreasing I had an us on Saturday due to a scare and saw my peanuts heartbeat. Waiting now on my 12 week scan so fingers crossed that everything is good with baby as this is my first :)
