Mostly okay. I've still got a headache (day 6), but it isn't as bad. And I'm constantly exhausted, which is getting a bit old...I'm ready to feel more normal.
Rants/Raves?
I'm really missing sleep. Lately 10pm is the absolute latest I can stay up, but I wake up so often throughout the night & absolutely cannot sleep in. It's frustrating! I've been avoiding caffeine during the week & have been letting myself have 1 real coffee on weekends...but, I think today might have to be a 2 coffee day.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend?
We're going out tonight for a delayed birthday dinner for DH (to the same restaurant we had our 1st date), & I think we might go shopping before. I want to start my Christmas shopping. And, DH doesn't know it yet, but I also want to start putting out some decorations around the house, lol. I love Christmas & it would make me really happy. He mentioned wanting to go to a movie after dinner, but let's be real...there's no way I'll make it through one right now, lol.
How are you feeling? Hungry.. Nothing I eat "hits the spot".
Rants/Raves? Like everyone else, I just want to sleep! I did go grocery shopping last night and only forgot one thing! That's a new record for me!
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Hubby is working, I'm taking my son to go see reindeer and Santa. In a nearby city they have a holiday kick off with opening all of their shops and I've never done it so it's free and thought it might be something fun.
How are you feeling?: I'm okay right now, just a bit hungry. I'm starting to get more energy back after weeks of wanting to do nothing else but hibernate.
Rants/Raves?: Week 7 totally sucked for me. Not only was I dealing with nausea, but I caught the stomach flu, sending me to the hospital for dehydration. I don't think I've ever felt that miserable before. The past 2 weeks have just been recovery for me, and I'm just now starting to feel normal again. I can generally eat food again, yay me -_-
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend?: I'll spend most of today relaxing and preparing a list of things I'll need for some things I'm baking for a Friendsgiving potluck I'll be attending. Tomorrow, I'll be going to a tamale festival with DH...he really wants to go. All be doing all of this, while trying not to spend all my money buying everything baby related lol...the struggle continues lol
How far along? I'm 8 weeks today. How do I feel? Nauseated. Constantly feel like I'm going to vomit. Yesterday morning I threw up stomach bile for over an hour. This part has been awful. I'm tired all the time. I cannot stay up past 8pm. Ugh. Rants and Raves? Anyone else want an freaking ultrasound SO BAD?! I am dying for one. My next appt isn't until I'm 12 weeks and I soooo hope they do one. I'm tired of being tired all the time. I never want to do anything but lay down and sleep. I haven't put makeup on in 3 weeks.
Rants/Raves? Shout out to mandarin oranges. You are delicious.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Preparing for my black belt test next week. Have to get in lots of extra training and also write an essay on the history of taekwondo, and study for a written test. It is boring and I'm not into it right now, but I don't want to wait another year to finish what I intended to do before I had my first kid!
How are you feeling? Sooooo much better! My nausea had mostly subsided this week, and I've been able to sleep solidly the past two nights. Up until now, I've been feeling like an insomniac... So tired, but kept waking up, unable to sleep in, etc. But something changed and I've gotten such restful sleep the last two nights and I feel like a new woman! That doesn't mean that I'll skip my Saturday nap, though
Rants/Raves? I've got so much to do as we fly out next Saturday to visit family for Thanksgiving. I feel like I'll never get it all done, because everyday when I get home, I just crash on the couch. But in the end, I'm growing a baby, so that kind of trumps it all! My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 11w4d, so that 'milestone' is coming up this week. I didn't initially plan it this way, but I ended up scheduling a drs appointment on Monday (I'll be 11w1d) and I'm pretty sure we'll be doing an ultrasound to check on a cyst/sac that Dr is concerned about. I'm SO EXCITED to see baby, and if all goes well, it will make the coming week less worrisome for me. We're also planning on publicly announcing if everything goes well at the appt. Of course, we could get bad news too, but I'm thinking positively!
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Visiting Hubby's grandparents today and I think we're going to tell them. It's hard to pass up the opportunity to tell them in person!
How are you feeling? I was feeling great and was worried about it then the nausea came back. It's oddly comforting to me. I also just started having this sharp/aching pain in my right lower back. Has anyone else experienced this?
Rants/Raves? None today
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Watching football and have the first basketball game of the season tomorrow!
So jealous of all you ladies who are a few weeks past me whose nausea is subsiding!
@MrsB8214 I haven't had any back pain but I just wanted to say thank you for not making me feel like a crazy person who hates the nausea when its here but misses it when it's gone.
How far along are you? 8w1d
How are you feeling? Well rested. Love the weekend. Nauseous but as I said above, I freak when its gone so I'll take it.
Rants/Raves? I love how excited DH is about baby stuff. He wants to go scope out nursery furniture this weekend to get an idea of what's out there at different price points which is exciting.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Costco trip because we're out of a bunch of stuff, furniture shopping, DH is taking his brother out to dinner for his birthday tomorrow which I am excited about because it means I dont have to worry about making something I can stomach and DH will actually like.
Rants/Raves? I've got a huge stack of paint swatches for the new nursery in front of me. And a healthy dose of design paralysis. Why can't I just Google the feel I want the room to have and it give me a paint color? Rabble rabble.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? I just got home from running 5 with a friend. Watching the Georgia game in front of the fire. Later: hockey game night! DH is smoking a pork butt.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
How are you feeling?: A but more energy, but another day with headaches.
Rants/Raves?: I keep thinking nausea is over but it comes and goes and now all I want is greasy foods. DH doesn't mind, but my budget does.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend?: Our friend is getting engaged today, and all our friends are going but us. It's 3 hours away! So we are lazy Saturdaying it, tomorrow is the usual church, soccer game, dinner.
How far along are you?: 11 weeks!

your Winston gif is making me really want a chilled glass of dry rosé
How are you feeling? Ok. Still battling this cold. Tired, RLP here and there, sore nips. Other than that, feeling pretty darn good.
Rants/Raves? This is going to be a stupid rant. My heart goes out to all you ladies who are experiencing MS. I can't empathize because I really haven't had much of it. At the same time it makes me even more anxious when I read about how it's reassuring to have it. I feel like that's everyone's "proof" and reminder that they really are pregnant and everything is going well, and here I am with none of it. I've been pretty calm about it up until this point and realize it's normal and that I should consider myself lucky, but at the same time I'm so ready for my first appt on Monday.
GTKY: Husband is working today so I'm trying to stay busy and get some things done around the house again. Ran some errands and getting the house organized. Depending on how late H has to work, I might see if I can talk him into an early movie/dinner date night.
How are you feeling? Nausea on and off, tired, sore boobs, headaches and serious food aversions.
Rants/Raves: We were supposed to drive down to Norfolk today for my nieces first birthday but the 8 hour drive sounded like torture to me. I feel really bad that we're missing it but luckily my SIL was super understanding because she had such bad MS as well.
GTKY: I'm hoping tonight will be a take out and rent a movie night... I don't feel up to much else at this point. I also seriously need to clean the house but want DH to help so I'll wait until he gets home to start
@mrsschmity I totally understand how you feel about the MS. I hate it, but it is reassuring that everything is okay. But all of my friends who know say they had it with one kid and not the other, so I don't think it's cause for worry. My sister only had it with my niece... Hoping that means this LO is a girl!
I feel for those who are constantly vomiting or feeling nauseated, and I've tried not to "complain" about not having ms, and mostly I'm grateful I've gotten by so far without any, but missing this tell-tale symptom makes me so anxious! And again, I truly am sorry for whining about my lack of feeling horrible...
How far along are you? 10w 3d
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still somewhat sore boobs, craving heavy foods, having a hard time sleeping, when I do sleep, CRAZY dreams, bloating, you know, same ole thing with me.
Rants/Raves- Next OB appt and u/s scheduled for Nov. 25th. Can't wait!!! Not sure if that's a rant or rave....
What are you doing this weekend? Riding around on the rhino with DH feeding deer. It's a beautiful day!!
How are you feeling? Blech. Nauseous, exhausted and moody.
Rants/Raves? Anti nausea meds - why can't they simply take the nausea?! They have helped some but replaced nausea with insane drowsiness like I've never known! I hear it fades after a week or so and I hope so because I'm not functioning well.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Trying to tidy and catch up on housework but mostly lying around moping. DS has a cold which means extra whining and broken sleep Whooo! Lots of fun here this weekend lol.
@keerolo I feel your pain!! I need the anti-nausea meds to function at all, but since I've been on them, I need to be in bed by 9pm and also need an afternoon nap I only wish DD were as enthusiastic about sleep and resting as I am right now
@denny+lee@mrsshmity I am feeling similar to you both....relatively no MS...I have has brief periods of nausea, but that is pretty much it. I was a nervous wreck as ever since I can remember MS and pregnancy go hand in hand, however I have been told every pregnancy is different and some don't experience MS at all, I just consider us to be lucky - although I do understand why ppl say being sick is reassuring!
How are you feeling? Sick and tired of being sick and tired! I took two separate naps yesterday. Hallelujah for Saturdays. Sore boobs. And if I stand up too fast or cough while lying in bed (?) I get these muscle spasms in my groin (on the outside, not inside, if you know what I mean, so I think that's ok). I'm good at making myself eat when I feel sick, so no throwing up, just low level naseau ALL THE TIME.
Rants/Raves? Hubby spent all weekend hanging out with friends eating out and drinking while I stayed home too tired to do anything. I told him to go, and he needs way more social interaction than I do, but last night I was really wishing he was there to cook me dinner.
GTKY: What are you doing this weekend? Not much
BTW I love this thread!
