15 weeks and still sick- anyone else? Just kind of need to vent!

So basically as the title says- my all day nausea still hasn't gone away! Just wondering if anyone else still has it... I haven't thrown up in about 2 weeks but the nausea is just as bad as it's been the whole time. It kind of gets depressing- I just want to be able to enjoy life and be excited but I feel so crummy all the time!
My husband still tries to be understanding but I feel like he is starting to get annoyed a bit as well- which I don't blame him. His typically fun-loving, goofy, productive wife is now the wife that is in bed until 10-11 every day and can't cook or clean like she used to or even take care of every day things.. It's all I can do just to get to work for a few house every day and I don't think I've cooked him a meal in two months and he can't either because the smell itself makes it worse- All because of this overwhelming nausea! The littlest things bring it on too.. I was really hoping to stop unisom soon but it looks like that's not an option at this point :/

  • I'm 14 Weeks and some change. I'm usually not nauseous but randomly I'll just get super nauseous and throw up in the middle of wherever I am. I also thought it was supposed to be over now

  • Sorry to hear yours is still so bad. I also have not vomited without my anti nausea medication in 2 weeks. I am however still naseous every now again. Mostly around awful smells and while brushing my teeth. I think I trigger my gag reflex everytime.
  • I feel ya. I'm 14w5d. I'm lucky in that I haven't been throwing up at all, but the nausea/overall crappy feeling has been with me since week 5. I think in general I've been feeling a little better, so yesterday I experimented with not taking my vitamin b/unisom combination, and it was a huge mistake. I felt pretty nauseous and icky all day, and then at night I felt HORRIBLE. So disappointing. I just want to feel better!!!!

Good luck to you! Hope we both feel better soon!

This is me, too, at 15w4d. I also have been feeling a little better and tried not taking diclegis (same as unisom/B6 but in 1 pill) and was a hot mess the next day.

I'm sorry you're still feeling so sick, but you're definitely not alone. Hopefully we'll all turn the corner soon. With my first pregnancy, I didn't feel nearly as sick, but I do remember that the nausea stuck around until I was 17ish weeks.
  • I'm 15 weeks and still throwing up almost every morning. A lot of just dry heaving too :( really hoping it goes away soon for everyone who is still sick so we can enjoy the excitement of pregnancy!
  • Im 15wks and i was miserable until my doc gave me diclegis and i feel better. I still experience some nausea but not as bad. Plus i drink seltzer water that helps me too.
  • I'm so sorry you are still sick! I was doing a lot better, and the last couple of days it hit me again, it's such a sucky feeling. I really hope it goes away for you soon, you deserve to feel good and be excited. Keep hanging in there, it won't last forever.

  • I will be 15 weeks tomorrow. I am having the same issue. As my doctor said, "sucks to be you, but at least we know the baby is doing well if you are so miserable." I feel ya. Stay Strong.
  • I'm 13w3d and was feeling a little better so I wasn't too worried about running out of diclegis. Apparently I was only feeling better because of the diclegis because as soon as I ran out I was puking all day the next day until I could get ahold of my doctor to get more. It was awful! I think with DD it started getting better around 16 weeks.
  • I'm 15w3d and still throwing up every morning and am nauseous for most of the day. I can pretty much throw up at anytime if I let myself. Though, I guess I am pretty fortunate because I find that if I eat every couple of hours that does seem to help. Not eating is definitely not an option for me. Good
Luck. I hope your nausea gets better soon.
  • Hi, I'm going to be 16 weeks tomorrow and i still suffer from nausea. My midwife said it should get better soon. My nausea used to last all day but lately it's mainly just in the morning to mid afternoon. Has anything helped you to deal with your sickness? Have you ever tried preggy pops? I think they're awesome they definitely help me.
  • I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow & I would still be throwing up every day if it weren't for diclegis. I am not able to take zofran because of interactions with my prescription medication. The days that I accidentally forget diclegis the night before, I am extremely sick all day with nausea and vomiting.
  • I'm 15 weeks and still sick. I have to take Zofran every morning and can't get out of bed until it kicks in. Tried to skip it a week ago and like PPs I regretted that decision. So I'm continuing to take my meds and bracing myself for 4 when nausea usually returns. Gum helps but that's about it.

  • I'm in the exact same boat. I have a Zofran iv pump, tried to take it off and couldn't stop throwing up. I tried to go with my hubby grocery shopping and felt like a tired, sick cancer patient. I'm 15 weeks today. Let's all hope it ends very soon. It is very depressing and tiring.
  • Yep, still throwing up if I skip my diclegis. My final puke when I was pregnant with my daughter was 16 weeks on the dot, and then my nausea went away the following week. I'm not letting up the diclegis until then this time just to be on the safe side. My morning sickness also got way worse about this time, right before it got better. Hang in there! There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Ps, I also felt bad for my hubby the first time around. This time around I don't give two craps about this being hard on him too. We're in this together, it's plenty hard for me! He can pay his dues too.
  • I am 12 weeks and it is still awful. I think I am more worried about this lasting through the whole pregnancy than anything! I have heard that's possible??? Husband has been absolutely amazing and is helping me through every breakdown I have. I can't wait to feel better so I can start feeling more excited!
  • I'm 14 weeks and change and I feel like my nausea has only been getting worse. Glad I'm not alone. I've been getting a dull headache accompanying it too.

  • 14 weeks here as well. Yesterday nauseous all day and today isn't starting off all that great. I threw up nothing this morning and I'm trying to eat some cereal to at least feel OK but I feel so funky.

I hope I'm not falling into some kind of depression because I'm feeling so useless. Like a piece of nothing sitting on the couch thinking I need some fresh air but am too lazy to move or take care of myself. This sucks.

  • I did the same thing! Didn't take unisom one night and was oh so sick the next day!
  • Two nights ago I didn't take my Diclegis and felt fine yesterday, no throwing up, had more energy... So I thought I was over it... I'm 14 wk. so I didn't take it again last night.... And today spent all day throwing up every thing I ate. Threw up in the sink before work, all day at work, and immediately when I walked in the door because my husband was cooking. :(. I'm so tired of feeling tired and sick, hoping it's over soon

  • So sorry for those still suffering in the second trimester. I just started taking diclegis about two weeks ago due to a massive sinus infection messing up all my progress. I went from no vomiting, nausea fading and eating real food to vomiting 2-3 times a day, fever, and living off of grits. Fun times. The meds got me through though and I'm looking at a better 15 weeks. I found that my sinuses are a big part of keeping the nausea at bay. If I fail to drink water and eat then the mucous thickens and I'm in trouble. This is going to ba a tough winter. I work with children and illness abounds.
  • 15 wks tomorrow and still nauseous 24/7- unless I take a zofran-- but even then I usually throw up before it kicks in. And now people are starting to make me feel guilty about the zofran... But there is just no other way i can function! I feel like i have been hungover for 2 months straight!! This is miserable!!! Praying it ends soon!!!!
  • Don't let anybody make you feel guilty about what you do or do not need to take to make it through a pregnancy!
  • 14 weeks, still sick. It seems to vary from one day to the next. I'm also taking unisom/vitamin B, which is a life saver I wish I'd discovered my first pregnancy. First pregnancy I was sick until around 20 weeks. I'm hoping it's better this time, but at least I have the meds for s huge relief.
  • Hi it's my first time replying on this forum. I'm 14weeks today and still my sickness hasn't subsided. I have been sick constantly since week 6. It has gotten better that it's not 5 times in a day but it's usually in the night where everything I eat I just throw up. At the moment everything is making me sick except for noodles and chips. The doctors have given me tabs but they never seem to work.. But every time I'm sick I'm just completely drained of energy and cannot move.. My question is does it get any better???!?? I'm keeping my faith but I'm getting tired of it now...
  • @moriahrray sorry to hear that but it's the same here. I've never thrown up but I'm super nauseous still when I'm not on diclectin (I believe here in Canada we use a version called diclectin). Even when I take diclectin, I'm miserable and feel crappy all day but not nauseous so I just lay down all day. My husband understands but sometimes he thinks I'm faking it lol. When I was in nursing school I often said I hated school and now that I'm just working, I hate working too- all the smells just make me sick and so he goes "what do you love these days, you just hate everything!" But he is very supportive though, just frustrated. Lately too I started to have this terrible headache so I'm totally confined to my bed everyday except when I manage to go to work. I'm 15w1d. We will get thru this girl, you not alone.
  • 15w3d and it seems to be getting worse not better. I gag several times a day, nauseous 75% of the time, and throwing up at least every few days. This is about par for my other 2 pregnancies too, except I don't remember ever being this exhausted... Then again I've never done it with a 5 year old and a 2 year old before.
  • Yep, nauseous all the time, I've tried zofan and reglan. They aren't doing much/anything. I was sick for 7 months with my first, I'm having twins this time and it's so much worse. (In fact it's 3:30am and I'm up because of a delightful combo of nausea, heartburn, and uncomfortableness.)
  • Was feeling better, then on Friday I casually vomited in a tree box on my way to lunch. Oops.
  • It's still bad for me and I'm almost 17 weeks. Not as bad as it was but little things still make me puke. Send to be because my sense of smell is to strong and acid reflux.
  • I'm still miserable at almost 18 weeks. Still having daily nausea, terrible headaches, not sleeping well even though I'm exhausted. This is a lot harder than I thought. I just keep hoping I will feel better soon...
  • Yup don't want to be miserable so and so but 17 weeks tomorrow and need to have a few good days soon...
It sucks for you guys too but it's good to know I am not alone with this... any day now it will pass!!!

Count me in. Thought I was turning the corner, only occasional nausea for about a week and still tired. Woke up this morning, first thing I did was pray to the porcelain god. Been feeling like crap all day. I'm 15W2D and I am totally over this!!

To make matters worse the weather suddenly got very cold, so the air is extremely dry. My throat feels like it's on fire! I keep telling myself it's the weather and not I'm getting sick.

  • Me too. I was hoping I would magically be better at 14 weeks but still throwing up :(
