Something you LOVE about pregnancy?

Trying to switch it up.. I know these last few weeks are hard and it becomes difficult to stay positive and is easy to vent and complain about how uncomfortable and annoyed we are (Which, don't get me wrong, we have every right).. I am currently 35 weeks with what is most likely my last pregnancy. I am trying to remind myself to enjoy these last weeks. I'm loving the extra back rubs from my hubby right now... What has been or is your favorite parts of pregnancy?

  • The first 20 weeks I really didn't love anything, haha, but now at 33w I love my bump! It's actually apparent and cute, and I know i'll miss it when it's gone. I love feeling my little squirm around, especially at night when he/she is doing ninja kicks. Those moments in the middle of the night are so sweet to me, I don't mind being woken up cause I just lay there and relish in my healthy nugget. I also love how sweet DH is to me, he's been going above and beyond to make sure i'm happy and just the sweetest. Counting my blessings every day!
  • I love how snuggly my DH has been with my bump this time around. He was cute with each pregnancy but I am so much bigger this time and he just is constantly touching me/the bump and says he can't believe how pregnant I am this time around.

I also love how thick my hair is. I have PCOS so my hair is normally super thin. It's nice not to feel like I'm balding.
  • I definitely love feeling my little girl's movements, I think it's been one of the best parts of my whole pregnancy. Sure sometimes they're not always pleasant, but it's a feeling that's hard to describe and no one but a mom will understand what it feels like. I tell SO all the time I wish he could feel what her kicks and stretches and hiccups feel like from the inside. I'm going to miss it, only 5 more weeks to go!
  • Love the baby bump!
  • I'm amazed at how quickly my fingernails grow and how little they break.
  • My skin has never been so clear, my hair doesn't get greasy and my nails are long and strong. I also feel more comfortable about my body shape than ever before! Of course the movements are so exciting, but I was thinking of selfish things that are a "bonus" of pregnancy. :)

    This is me exactly!
I've had ups and downs, but this last month of pregnancy has been an absolute dream! I have energy, I feel great!

SO true! I actually have to CUT my nails now cause they're annoying, I would have never dreamed of that before cause I always wanted them long but they never grew.
  • Yes to the nail growth, and yes to eating what I want free from judgmental comments!

I do wish I had the great hair, though. It grows so fast which is nice since I'm trying to grow it out anyway. It's just been really frizzy. There are worse things, though!
  • I love the comfort of maternity clothes! I also feel confident pregnant, I love my bump and I love sweet little girls kicks. 37 weeks and pretty much over everything else!!
  • I love that DH gives good long back rubs and actually helps with chores!! :) and I love getting compliments all the time.
  • I love that we were able to conceive naturally, and by surprise. I love that I'm having a daughter (something I never knew I wanted so bad). i love the movements. I love going for massages every other month.
  • I love her movements , her hiccuping it's the best feeling and also I love my big belly :) she's makes me so happy!
  • I love the movements... and the fact that we moved into our first house this summer....and I didn't have to help with anything really other than unpacking light/fun stuff... Score!
  • Definitely the movements! I know this one is my last and every time he moves I stop what I'm doing to try to savor it. I'm going to miss it so much! (But it is seriously the ONLY thing I like about pregnancy)
  • I love that baby is safe and loved - feeling him roll around is something else. This will be our last baby and he was a total surprise so I love that we were given one more chance. I love knowing my husband gets to be an incredible dad again - he's such a good man.
  • I'm totally cool with my body right now...embracing and loving the bump and boobs. Also hair, nails and skin. The movements are amazing (but are starting to make me a little sick now that baby is so big). One of my favorite things is that SO loves for me to be the big spoon cause he can feel the baby kicking him and exploring. Baby seems to always go in search of his warm body. So sweet.
  • All the compliments I get about how I look.  It's a nice confidence booster!  I also get the comment that I do not look pregnant at all from behind.  I worked out throughout pregnancy and I have GD so I'm on a strict diet.  I really am all belly.  I'm happy with how my body looks and how I should bounce back very easily.

  • Love this thread! I'm so used to complaining it's nice to think about the good things.

I love that if I have a craving for something, hubby will run right out to get it with no hesitation and not sign of a sigh. I also love the foot, ankle and leg rubs! ❤️

I can't believe I didn't think of this one sooner... I've LOVED not having a period since February!!! It's been so nice not to worry about tampons, cramps and other period related crap!
  • People give me food all the time! Also, life without a waistband is seriously changing my life.

Always getting a seat on the subway, extremely slow growing leg/armpit hair, great skin, being told I don't look pregnant from behind...all so good!

I actually love not having periods, as well. Lol! But honestly, I'm in awe of the movements, and how the Hubby is reacting to it all. This is our first baby. And he never really thought about wanting kids, and was unsure about wanting just ONE kid. But it's so cute, and sweet, when he talks to our LO and kisses my tummy! <3 I would have NEVER though he would be that way. Or that I would be over the moon about having a baby. Because...just 3 years ago, I did NOT want kids! But our LO has totally made me understand WHY I now love the idea of being a mommy. Even though they're not here just yet!

My belly. I love all my new curves. Random offerings of food. Taking bump selfies for each week/milestone. Excuses to be lazy (I have more energy than I let on sometimes). Feeling my baby flap around in there. Slow-grow body hair. No periods (!!) Maternity pants which, btw, I may just keep wearing.
  • I love that I'm never alone. I've struggled with depression since my little brother passed away and just feeling my little girl move around in there makes me feel so comforted. The no period thing is also a huge bonus! I'm a FTM and I love how much I already love this baby of mine!!

I love how when DH gets home from work and baby girl hears him she goes nuts! Shell kick me/stick her butt out enough during the day for me to get kick counts but it's so different when her dad gets home. DH is so excited to meet his baby girl and so am I

Me too .... Best skin and despite my teary breakdowns I have a glow all the time. I keep telling myself to appreciate that right now I'm taking care of this little guy and carrying around on the inside but in a matter of time he'll be out and about. Although we'll love it ... It will be a challenge. I also am trying to go movies and enjoy things I know will get harder once he's here.

Definitely my little guys movements, even the rib kicks don't bother me because I know he is safe and warm in there. Also, I love SO's change in behavior towards me and life in general. He is really stepping up and helping take care of things in the house and for the dog. He's so affectionate with my belly and always talking to his baby, already buying toys for him and shifting towards spending time with parent friends. Knowing how excited he is and how he is already fulfilling a nurturing rule is right up there with number one.

ETA when baby hears his daddy he goes wild kicking and squirming. He certainly recognizes his voice and I can't wait to see their interaction when baby is born :)
  • I've really loved the whole experience. This is my first pregnancy, and I spent a lot of time being told I would never be able to have kids, so I am grateful for every kick ( even in my bladder ) and even the more uncomfortable feelings of pregnancy because I know there are women out there that would love to know what it's like to sneeze and pee a little because they were growing another life. I also feel very strong and being pregnant has taught me to trust my body and overall has given me a lot of confidence and happiness.

Yes yes yes to slow growing leg hair! With my first, it grew faster! That was the worst! I only just shaved after a week and a half! I also love maternity clothes because everything fits! I had such issues with jeans before pregnancy. Leggings ftw!
