Odd story...what do you think??

So tonight we were at my in-laws for dinner and they had some candles on the table. After dinner my six year old son was helping clean things up and was given the task of blowing out the candles. I was holding LO in an upright position, facing out toward my son. He was blowing out the candles and I was watching him. He got to the last candle and it was tall so he had to really lean in. I went a little closer to oversee him. Right when he blew out the candle LO let out a blood curdling scream/cry. She started to wail in what seemed like terror. Could blowing out the candle have scared her?!?! So odd. I didn't think they felt fear so to speak at this age. She wasn't hurt in any way...just scared. I swear it was like the candle suddenly going out totally freaked her out!! Thoughts??

I think she was scared. My DD usually cries like that when DS suddenly laughs out loud right by her. It sounds like someone pinched her but she's just scared. After we soothe her she calms down.

My DH sneezes and and it used to scares DD. She'll be in a happy mood and then crying the next second. Babies are funny.

That happened at church the other day with LO. I was holding her facing away from me. She had been wacthing a lady across the room in a wheelchair move about. She just started sobbing then screaming. I turned her back facing me and she was fine. Freaked me out.

My DH was making faces at LO and he was smiling and happy. He made a frowning faces and it freaked him out. I mean blood curling cries. It took me a minute to calm him down.
