C-Sections and working out?

Hi there! My DD is about 8 weeks old now and I had her via repeat c-section.

I stopped bleeding about 3 weeks ago and got the Ok from my doctor to start exercising again. But, every time I work out I feel a gush of blood in the middle of my work out.
I'm not doing crazy stuff either just a little cardio and yoga here and there.

Has this happened to you? And if so how long did it take before you could fully work out again ?

I really need to do something about this baby weight and I was a big gym person before getting pregnant, and am ready to get back into my routine.

  • I've had 3 csections but have not experienced this. I personally would probably keep going as long as there weren't any other symptoms and I felt fine, but at some point you might want to just run it by your dr to be safe. I guess it would also depend on how much blood comes out, if it's a lot or more like spotting.

  • I had repeat c section as well (7weeks ago) and stopped bleeding completely at the end of 5 weeks. I haven't been doing anything strenuous but I have been walking a few miles every few days and no bleeding but my incision is sore and/or achy in the evening. I don't feel like I could even do anything more than walking at this point. I feel loads better than I did but I'm ready to feel 100% again! I agree with pp to run it by your doctor.
