What do y'all think about hiking a 6 mile trail? I know exercise is recommended in pregnancy, but I don't want to over do it and hurt my little bean. I'm a little over 7 weeks along. Thanks for your input!!
I say get out there and enjoy! Just pack plenty of water and listen to your body if you are tired. Try not to lose your breath, and take breaks as needed!
With my first we did a 40km, multi-day, camping-along-the-trail hike when I was 7 weeks. It was awesome! Only problem was all the beef jerky and trail mix was super unappealing to my super pregnant self. When we got back to civilization I ate the hugest sandwich and mountain of fries...
Ooo beef jerky. That's actually really appealing to me now haha! Thank you, ladies!! I don't feel worried any longer :-) I'll just take my time and rest when I feel it's needed. @taluce I wouldn't be too worried.. Dress for the weather and maybe try one of those goofy fans with water speaking of water definitely drink a lot of it! I feel like if you take your time you'll be good after reading these responses.
Do it! I think the main point is to listen to your body and also consider what your condition was before you got preggo. I hike 1-2 times a week. Not sure what your trail is like but mine.... well, the only negative is MS & mule doodoo. Not a winning combo.
