Let's talk Crinone: what pharmacy do you use and how much $

So, I'm switching to Crinone this cycle since I still spot on prometrium 200 mg 2xs a day. I have now been prescribed Crinone 8% once a day. My RE gave me a few samples and a savings card. Under the savings card, I pay $50 and save up to $125 on the prescription (so, essentially I save $75). I dropped my card off at CVS, who is ordering the meds for me, and I was quoted $246 for 15 applicators (15 days worth).

Does everyone pay as much for Crinone? If not, where do you get it and how much do you pay? I'm thinking about pharmacy shopping here. If your insurance covers any of it, please let me (and other interested readers) know, so I don't get my hopes up haha. Thanks in advance!!

  • I have insurance and pay $30 for 15 applicators. Try Freedom Pharmacy or Braun. They offer discounts for self pay.

  • Freedom Pharmacy is amazing! My insurance covers a huge portion of my fertility drugs (I am so thankful!) and I pay $60 for 60 applicators.

  • My insurance covers it so I pay $9. Interestingly I've taken crinone and this cycle switched to prometrium 200mg twice a day vaginally. Did you have any side effects other than spotting on the prometrium?

(I've heard people like prometrium better and that it's less messy and I've only been on it two days but I think I like the crinone better but that could just be me and my hatred of change

My insurance (assurant health) covered it 100% through cvs Caremark. Cvs Caremark charges $310 for a box of 15 applicators if you pay out of pocket
  • I used to take crinone and someone suggested this pharmacy in California called MDR. They have coupons for crinone that you can use up to four times. They ship overnight as well. I think I paid $10 per applicator, so it's still pricey but much better than regular pharmacy prices.

Try this.  You can insert your zipcode and find places close to you.  MDR is actually mentioned.
  • I paid $200 for 30 applicators. My RE is going to switch me to something less expensive if I have to continue it.
