Teething feeders

What's the opinions/experiences with teething feeders? I'm having a hard time feeding my son solids because of teeth pain. He isn't eating purée foods but is getting frustrated trying to pick up chunks of food (bananas, peaches, etc) anyone use a teething feeder and find them beneficial?

Re: Teething feeders

  • My daughter likes them and they seem to keep her occupied for a while. The only issue I have is that they're a pain to clean. Even if you rinse and soak them immediately....

  • I agree with PP, they're a b*tch to clean. I used to pop an ice cube in the mesh teething feeder, it was a wet mess, but LO loved it when she was teething.
  • That's what I am thinking of using it for. I put a crushed ice cube in a newborn size sock and tied the end and he likes to chew on that too. Teething sucks....
  • My LO love love loves the mesh feeding tether. She does very well with a banana (fresh or frozen) watermelon and a boiled sweet potato. It's a life saver when grocery shopping. I just recently started putting an ice cube in for her because she's having a hard time with her 5th and 6th teeth coming in. I highly recommend one. They are hard to clean but worth it to me!
  • Boon sells a silicone feeder that is easy to clean compared to the mesh feeders. My son didnt like solids at the beginning so using the boon silicone feeder introduced him to different flavours.
