Re: Tips ?

  • This early I'm still sleeping on my stomach. Probably switch to my side later on.

  • At this point in the pregnancy and up to 16 weeks, you can sleep however you want to or however you are comfortable. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise. In terms of exercise, you can continue doing what you have been doing so long as you were not put on any restrictions. Don't start a new exercise routine if you haven't been already doing one. Yoga, especially prenatal yoga can be really helpful. Walking is also great.
  • I would suggest walking.
  • For later in your pregnancy, a large body pillow can be helpful.

This - loved my snoogle. I'm probably going to order a new slip cover for it this time, though.

  • Using the stationary bike has been working for me exercise wise, low impact and I can watch my shows at the same time :).

  • I would highly recommend a low impact workout like walking, the stationary bike like someone else mentioned above or the Elliptical.  In my first pregnancy I did all three up until about 3 days before I went into labor.  I have to admit I had an easy pregnancy but I attribute it to staying active my sciatica wasn't that bad, my back pain was only moderate and I ended up having the stamina to make it through 24 grueling hours of labor :)

As far as sleep - pillows - lots of them... they will be your VERY BEST friend!

  • I CAN sleep on my stomach but with the upset its not ideal...

I hug a long down pillow and roll half way on top of it so my belly isn't squished on the bed quite so much.
I will probably upgrade to an actual pregnancy pillow when the time comes - my best friend swears by them!

and walking is always good exercise - low impact cardio and yoga!

  • Thanks you guys for the support
  • Like others have mentioned, the snoogle body pillow became my best friend during my last pregnancy. I don't know what I would've done without it!
