Ugh dreaded heartburn. I get it all the time pregnant or not. I notice it flares with certain foods. I use Zantac 150 and notice almost immediately that it goes away.
I never had heartburn before I got pregnant. The mint tums help me, and sleeping with my head elevated. I notice if I end up sleeping flat I wake up with awful heartburn.
I've had GERD for years before pregnancy. I took Prilosec otc before my BFP. I take tums now when I need it. Don't wear constricting clothes. Eat enough to feel satisfied but not full. Try to stay away from trigger foods. Sleep with your head elevated. If it's truly unbearable your ob can help.
Ugh. The dreaded heartburn! I even had it pre pregnancy. The ONLY thinhs that have worked for me, are TUMS, and pickle juice. Yes, Ladies. Pickle juice. Hahah! I'm not sure how, or why pickle juice works for me, but it does. I've also noticed tea helps me sometimes. But usualky it's tums, and pickle juice. Two things that have always worked for me.
With my first pregnancy I just had the acid reflux in my throat. This pregnancy (I am 31 weeks) have acid reflux in throat mostly but a couple weeks ago I started feeling actual heartburn in my chest that lead to upper right back pain. Now over the past week my heartburn has traveled to my upper abdomen and under my ribs. I didn't even know this was possible until I kept having a burning sensation in upper abdomen and my Dr had me go to L&D to get checked out. I was prescribed Zantac to take twice a day. I was told the last 10 weeks of pregnancy heartburn cab get really bad. I am definitely feeling the pain and hoping the Zantac will help.
