Follicle numbers and IUI

Just out of curiosity, for those who have done an iui (or multiple), how many mature follicles did you have and what was the outcome? What were your fertility related challenges (if any)?

    Hi! I have had 3 IUIs so far. First one I took 50mg of clomid and had one follicle. Second I took 100mg of clomid and had 1 follicle. This currently IUI cycle I am in I took letrozole and had four mature follicles! The clomid also thinned my lining where the letrozole did not.

    Hope that helps. Although, I do need to say that every woman is different and responds differently to meds. Good luck to you.

    Thanks! I took serophene 3-7 the ovidrel on cd12, iui 36hrs later. I had 4 follicles 21-24mm and one 15mm. This is our first iui with unexplained infertility. Been trying for 5 years so hopefully this works....

    I did one IUI the month after a hysteroscopy (slight t-shape uterus) and laparoscopy (stage 4 endometriosis). I did letrozole and follistim and only ended up with one for sure mature follie (I had 2-3 at 14-15mm the morning before the IUI, but my LH was surging). And that little one ended ip being all we needed. I'm now 15 weeks along. I had done 3 cycles of letrozole and TI prior to the surgery, with 2-3 follies each time, and those weren't succesful despite more mature follies.

    BFP and reduction mentioned.

    I did two IUIs the first with one and we got pregnant but ended up being chemical.  The second we had 6 and I am now pregnant with Quads.... We are now going forward with reduction because of the implications of having 4 babies.  I would rather have a better chance to bring home 2 babies than the potential to lose all of them. If I had to do it over again I would have cancelled the cycle and tried again. Try not to feel rushed like it has to happen now, I did and here I am today..

    Also, I was the issue..  I don't ovulate on my own regularly.  My husband is apparently superman...

    BFP mentioned******. Our problem was basically unexplained (other than my husbands motility bring a little low). We did 3 IUIs, 6 follicles the first time, 7 the next two... All of those were BFNs. We moved to ivf and concieved our first cycle

    @MrsHandler I have been following your situation on the discussion you started. Sorry to hear about having to selectively reduce... I can't imagine having to go through that. You will stay in my thoughts!

    I'm half way through my 2ww after an iui with four mature follicles and one 15mm. I'm terrified it won't work and terrified it will work too well. All I do is scour the Internet looking for iuis in similar cycles and to be honest I haven't found much for positive feedback.... one week to go....
