Telling my dad.

So my dad and I have a pretty good relationship, but when I found out with DD he didn't talk to me for 3 days. Then when I told him about my miscarraige he was less than helpful. "Maybe it was for the best.."

So although we tried and prayed for this one, I fear telling him. I want it to be cute in manner, but I know it isn't going to go well either way.

He is very religious and believes DH and I should be married. (We have been together for 7 years). We have plans for marriage and we talk about it a lot. But financially we don't want our parents to have to pay anything bc they don't have the money to either.

I feel like I can't talk to him. And I'm scared of his reaction. I wish it could be easy!

Re: Telling my dad.

  • Family is tough. At least you know what to expect when you tell him. He may be upset about it for awhile, but he'll have to get over it.

Don't let other people steal your joy. You tried and prayed for your little one, so feel happy about it. I know none of this makes it easier to tell him, but just hang in there.
