How do you what do you get down with morning sickness? I know I need to eat and drink so I can make milk for DD that water makes my stomach so upset. Salty foods and carve seem to be the only thing that stay down and the only thing that takes away the gross feeling.

I'm no longer breast feeding, but I know there are only certain times of the day when I can stomach water, so I drink more then. Also, sometimes things sound gross and look gross but I just eat it, and try to eat every two hours before any nausea. I know this time is rough when breast feeding and boobs get tender, but good luck!

  • You could make infused water or try sparkling water. I know sometimes that helps me drink more fluids. I'm also nursing and pregnant. Awesome job, mama!
  • I agree with sparkling water or ginger ale. I'm nursing my 2.5 year old, but only a few times a day. My nips are so freaking tender right now, and the rest of my boob started hurting yesterday. I'd say eat whatever you can stomach. And if that's saltines morning, noon, and night, then ok. Unless you are starving yourself, your body's going to produce milk as long as there's a demand, so don't stress about the calories. You're doing something wonderful for your DD! Hang in there, mama. You're doing great!

  • Nursing an 18 month old so it doesn't matter if he gets anything since it's more or less comfort night nursing at bed time. Blahhhhh I don't envy you, I've been so sick too and haven't been able to keep anything down. Eat whatever you can get down, take your vitamins and try different things to drink. Maybe lemon water, seltzer with lime or my favorite - seltzer with a splash of cranberry so it's refreshing and a little tart. Drink whatever works for you
  • I'm no longer breastfeeding - I just wanted to high five all you mommas who are still nursing while pregnant. My boobs hurt so much and the thought of nursing makes me wince. Way to go, you must be some seriously tough badasses.
