I'll be 35 weeks pregnant on my 21st. I partied a lot in school and I've been to bars, so I'm not too bummed about missing out on all that. But still, 21 is really the last exciting birthday, and being so pregnant, I still want to do something fun. Any ideas??
Re: 21st birthday
I had my 30th in August and I was slightly bummed to not have the "epic party" for my dirty thirty.
I just had a good day visiting with family and friends, and we are postponing the celebration to next year
Two years, two losses and three IUIs...
We are having TRIPLETS!
EDD 1/26/16
GGB born November 2015!
I'm really not looking forward to any birthday past 29, lol.
Love the mani pedi spa day idea. I'll probably go with that since it's the one day of the year I get to be pampered.
Side note- if you use the word "old" enough, it definitely doesn't sound like or look like an actual word.
I was in the same boat! Some of my family and friends were in the works of planning a wine tour for my 30th. My Birthday is in June, so we were excited because it was the end of our school year in New York and the weather was getting pretty warm already. The week after Mother's Day was when I found out I was pregnant, so we are now planning to do one on my 31st.
The mani/pedi idea sounds awesome - plus clearly, food. Maybe go ahead and set up a general timeframe for you and your friends to go to a winery/have your first night out post-baby? Not a specific date, but maybe something like "Hey! Plan on us all going out sometime in May once LO is old enough to hang out with dad/grandma for an evening!"
I'd make everyone in the family/friend circle write down their favorite wine/beer/cocktail of choice though, for future use
Dress up and go for a nice dinner and drink mocktails with your girl friends.
My birthday was in July so I was already pregnant, and my mom got me a home made ice cream cake from my favorite place and we celebrated with family and friends. Seriously, food can definitely make up for alcohol.
I like other's ideas of having a "first night out" or "baby weaning" celebration. You can even just called it your belated birthday celebration! Either way, I know you'll find a way to have fun
