My boss disappeared off the face of the earth almost two weeks ago. She hasn't answered a single email since. Got an email almost a week later saying that she was "going to be away for an extended period" and who to report to while she's away. No other directions.
Obviously I hope she's ok but it's getting really annoying trying to keep things going with no idea about what's going on, how long she might be gone, whether I should keep CCing her on things, whether I should hold onto things that she would normally sign off on or just push them through without her.
On the plus side, lots of time for at work bumping since I don't feel super motivated to get things done quickly.
Ever since stopping HBC, my periods have been heavy and long. I used to have three easy days, now it's like five horrible days plus a couple days of spotting at both ends. I know this is common, but it's extra irritating today because it's DH's birthday and I'd like to have birthday sex. If I still had my old HBC periods I'd be done by now.

I emailed the photographer we used for DS's two year photos last week because we hadn't gotten the digital files yet. She finally emailed back today saying she thought she had already uploaded them to our album but she didn't and her archive drive crashed! She's trying to do some data recovery to find them, but I'm pissed.
Someone stole my phone charger at work. I know I shouldn't have left it over the weekend but it has my initials on it and I always let people borrow it so I really didn't think anyone would take it. I hope whoever stole it gets electrocuted plugging it in.

The outlet to my office fridge blew a fuse this weekend, so all the food in it had to be tossed. And I keep a decent amount of food there. I'm kind of freaked out by the shooting at Penn Station (2 blocks from where I work and commute) and I don't want to go out to restock, so I guess I'm ordering in today.
My family is coming to visit this weekend, and we have had this weekend planned since early May. DH just told me he has a work dinner Friday night. DH always works crazy hours and I know he won't try to get out of this because his career means so much to him.
But I mean, c'mon, we have had this planned for 6 months!! We have 8 people coming and could use just a little bit of help playing host! DH should have made it clear with his job he need the entire weekend free.
My fiance and I are getting married at the courthouse on Wednesday and the mother of his son is freaking out and saying she's going to keep his son from going to the ceremony (she's mad because they were together for nearly 6 years and he didn't marry her crazy a$$). I'm super excited to marry my soul mate and have a wonderful step-son, but I'm so irritated that she's making me stressed out when I should just be SUPER excited. I wish she'd get over herself and just be happy that her son is happy. They have 50/50 custody too, so she doesn't have the control that she wants, which I think bothers her as well.

I give Shutterfly a crazy amount of business, but they won't honor a coupon code that they told me they would (it has since expired, but an email from customer service told me they most likely would let me use it, now they're telling me no).
We bought chicken marsala pre-prepared from trader joe's on Saturday and it said "serves 2." Opened the container and there was 1 small chicken breast inside.
Friday my DD turns one, and my SIL wants to come over. She annoys me, so I'm annoyed when I really just wanted our private family time.

Okay, one more. I cancelled my fairpoint internet and phone on August 29. On Sept 2nd, Comcast "ported" my phone number out. Every Single Month - Fairpoint has sent me a bill, and I've called about it. Sept, Oct, AND Nov. Every single month they have assured me they resolved the problem, and the charges would backdate to Aug 29. Now they are sending the $300 worth of charges from AFTER I CANCELLED MY DAMN ACCOUNT to collections. I called again, and though they have a record of me calling and requesting my account to be cancelled, and a record of my calling because it was not looking cancelled on the billing end (though we were not receiving service) on Sept 10th, 14th, Oct 15th and November 9th... they can't rescind the charges. And oh by the way.... Managers don't work on Mondays, so we can't let you talk to one. Seriously?
I took my DD to her 1 year check up today and we just had to make some changes to our insurance. All was taken care of, but they said they were having trouble verifying(their words not mine) the insurance so I had to pay out of pocket for the appointment, which otherwise not a big deal but of course there is a hold on the check we deposited in the bank so my sister called and paid over the phone so I didn't have to reschedule. I called the insurance company and it kept rerouting me to different people until finally I get to an automated machine saying the operator and back up operator can't be reached. I've called back several times to no avail. Monday can suck it.
@alversonda I think something is going on with insurance companies today. I just spent 25 minutes on hold with one for a client (and counting.) So tired of hold music.
Does anyone else have those days where you just can't stand to be around anyone. It annoys you to no end that you even have to go outside and pretend to be sociable with people. When in all reality all you wanna do it stay at home in your pjs and pretend that its just you and the dog, and maybe the honey if he's lucky. Well today is one of those days for me.
I had to take my cat for a checkup at the oncologist today. My vet performed 3 mass removals on my poor cat's head and there's still a friggin bump! I didn't want to put my cat through all this, I was told it would be a simple removal when I first decided to do something about the cancer, and it's turned into a mess that's lasted 6 months. Thank goodness for the oncologist. She's wonderful. Now I just need to find a new veterinarian. My poor kitty.
@AshleyGemini24 I'm having one of those days too. Thank goodness I work midnights and all the people that I deal with are sleeping while I'm there. Lol
My sister gave me a necklace the other weekend for helping with her shower. I wore it into the pool this morning, and it turns out that it was not made out of a metal that could handle pool chemicals... I wish necklaces like that came with some kind of warning label! It was really cute, and I'm sooooo sad now!

Edit to add: We did just hang out with our friend who is 38-39 weeks yesterday. H just told me it was hard on him. I feel less crazy now, but guilty for feeling envious.
@jhems776 I'm with you. My best friend lives across the country and just told me she's 14 weeks with #2. I feel so guilty for being jealous but I'm happy for her. DH says it doesn't bother him but even he got teary eyed at a viral video of a woman surprising her DH with a BFP.

There was a discounted movie ticket offer on a credit card I have. It's only on the movie booking site app. Which doesn't take a 9 character password. I have to wait to change my password because I don't have my credit card pin- I seldom use this one. I've shifted cities, so I won't get it till next week. We wanted to watch the movie this week. @AshleyGemini24 How funny, I work midnights at a nursing home too. I work on the assisted living side in the memory care unit though. So all my residents are asleep and not with it enough to use their call lights even if they need something. So it's usually pretty quiet. Some nights I'm on the other side though, and I spend my nights running back and forth to the sound of call lights. Lol. I'm sure you know what that's like.
My period was "supposed" to start today and nothing ! Hate when you start to get your hopes up a little then get knocked down so quick! (I quoted supposed to because I temped for several months and just stopped because it was too much, so I don't know exactly when I ovulated)
