Hi Ladies,
I was just curious if there were any other ladies out there who were NOT having an NT scan? My husband and I were scheduled for ours and then decided to cancel it.
My sister in law and brother had theirs and all it did was make them a nervous wreck for more then 10 weeks... Tons of additional appointments, doctors saying the baby needed a blood transfusion, and more. They switched doctors who said everything was perfect with the baby and there was no need to have made them worry.
We are just worried it will do the same thing for us... Make us worried for no reason.
Our last appointments were all perfect! So we are skipping the NT scan and our next appointment will be a Doppler appointment in Decemeber.
Anyone else NOT having the NT scan?

I agree that this is the mother's choice, but I have to argue a bit about the logic that it wouldn't change the decision to have the baby, so don't do it. It's not only about whether or not you would terminate. It's about being prepared if you would find out something is wrong, e.g. financially, having additional doctors lined up, doing research, etc.
I lurk. I snark. I offer sound advice if you're not BSC. You may not like me. I'm okay with it.
