My son was born with a ton of hair, then over the first 4 months or so it all fell out and grew back a different color. He was younger than your LO so I have no idea if this is normal or what.
Ugh it's miserable I'm sorry!! Mine started falling out by the handfuls around 4 mo pp, now at almost 7 it's finally starting to slow down and grow back in baby fuzzy hairs (growing in white, so, that's fun). Also just not the same, dull and lifeless and so thin. Keep taking prenatals, I also added a nail and hair vitamin after clearing it with my OB. I cut it too, it was long and was traumatic to see how much was coming out! Plus I worried about the baby ingesting it since it was always all over me. He pooped one out one day and it made me nervous! But yeah it sucks I'm super self conscious about it and don't feel like myself, the temple areas are so thin it's hard to hide. But I try to remember that it could be worse we're all healthy and so it's a small price to pay I guess.
I'm in the same boat but mine started falling out 3 months PP. It's coming out in handfuls and I'm really worried I'll be bald in a few months. I'm still taking prenatals but they don't seem to be helping. I'm very curious to see someone else weigh in on this who's gone through it.
Mine just started falling out and I'm 3 months pp. lost so much it clogged the shower drain! I have thin hair to begin with so I can't afford to lose all this hair or I will be bald! Lol. Will be checking to see if I can add biotin.
Losing so much hair too... Don't worry you won't go bald. It shall pass. I ended up cutting 4" off my hair to give an illusion of more less stringy hair. I actually love it b/c it's less maintenance now ha
The same here! Losing sooo much hair. Comes out in large clumps. I have dark hair and I find it everywhere. After blow drying it's literally all over the floor.
I am glad there is an end in site! I started losing buckets full of hair a couple weeks ago. My poor baby is getting flossed from the inside out from eating my hair.
I assumed mine was PP hair loss too.. However I had blood work done and discovered my iron was at a dangerously low level (thought I was just tired from lack of sleep too), and my body was in survival mode sending oxygen/nutrients to its most needed places in my body and hair was not one of those places. My hair was dying and falling out like crazy in clumps. I just started taking more iron supplements and I'm on a high iron diet now! Maybe check with your doctor and see if you can check your iron level.
Re: Hair is falling out......
Did you ask the Pedi?

Oh crap. YOUR hair is falling out. Oops, thought you meant your baby.
Oh hell yes this is normal. I'm still losing hair and my kids are 1 and 3.
I have a ton of hair though. Long, thick and curly. Maybe you'll be luckier
